      Hi phankao

I know you have a kid in the Music Programme in NJC. May I know whether the kids can play any instrument of their choice - or does it need to be a string instrument or piano?

Also - can the students in the Music Programme join the symphonic band as a CCA - or is it typically not advised due to time commitments.

Greatly appreciate your response - thanks in advance.
I'm not phankao but my dd is in Music Programme and your kid can play any instrument they want. They can join band if they are more interested in it. Is your dd in jh1?

Thank you for your response. Actually she is only in P5 ..... maybe I am a bit too kiasu - but was thinking of positioning for DSA application, which schools to shortlist as we do not want to do many. (Not a GEP kid šŸ˜„ ). She loves music - so looking for schools with a Music Programme.

Does your DD like the Music Programme? What is her CCA? What does she play. My question was more if can a student do both band and Music Programme as I thought it might be too much time commitment.

        Thank you again

Thank you again[/quote]Of course this is NJC here šŸ™‚ most programs are interesting. Her CCA is choir and unless she really loves to sing don't join it. My dd always complain leg pain after choir. She plays the piano :). Honestly it depends on whether she can manage her work well and if she's interested in both. If shes interested in it she will definitely try harder

I cannot believe what i just heard. My dd's form teacher in one month already call me saying that she sleep in class and never pay attention.

šŸ˜“ Did you check with your girl?

My girl told me occassionally she feel tired or the lesson is boring, her head will lie on the table in a lazy manner and her teacher said she is sleeping, actually she is not.

But lucky I haven't get any call yet. :nailbite:
