A bit quiet leh, this thread.

Do you guys have to fly for your PT jobs? I'm trying to resist. Truth is, I used to enjoy these breaks, but now am not keen cos son is in school and my real full-time job is chauffer cum gopher. ๐Ÿ˜›

Hi blobbi, long time no "see". Howโ€™ve you been?

As a part-timer, very difficult to travel. And the only time it became mandatory for me, I had to stop nursing my babe and HR had to go thru the trouble of working out my pay. As for going for training, haiz. I dont claim back the time, so I lugi. But cant be too calculative either.

Heyya Mathsparks, yah, this one is a toughie. We're on part time cos we don't want to travel, hmm. I can't be calculating cos I'm not paid on a time basis, and they're so nice to me already. So I'll just reject nicely, unless I can bring son and family along for hols later.

                      I'm not a part-timer officially (I get CPF and all benefits) but I work only 6 hours a week. Heh heh. I'm a full-timer with part-timer hours, full-timer perks.

So I guess I'm an associate member? ๐Ÿ˜‰

But seriously, I have only just converted to FT 6 months ago after 6 years of PT. Is it the best of both worlds for you guys? Get to look after family needs and get to have a career and money as well.

Wow! 6 hours? That's how much i work in a DAY. I drop the son off, come straight to work at 7ish, stay here till near 1. You mean part timers don't get CPF? I have. I've never worked for the govt, so all my employment has been on a case by case basis.

It's quite good lah. Like this is my parking spot. What I do is probably more consultancy, so, urb, quite free to kaypoh on kiasuparents, oops.
