Ds returned home yesterday and told me that HCI did better for the A levels than RI this year? Is it true?

Hi VSK.. I have not logged on Stamford to check the details yet.. Anything important we have to take note of ?

Heard that gaming was a big issue at boarding. Glad that the school has blocked games, eg. LOL, which DS has been hooked on since school holidays last year.. :slapshead:

Parents are to book in with their boys on 23 Mar (Sun) - there will be a briefing for parents from 1.30 but the boys must check in from 12.30 to 1.15pm. Quite a big chunk of info there at stamford14.edu.sg - will get it printed out, then I can read better.

Haha I didnt know abt the gaming issue - I thought all along these sites are banned in RI premises? Sure good thing they're blocked.... hope our boys will be more disciplined there - at home, too many distractions - phone games, computer games, piano, guitar.

Read something about Prep time too :

Prep is the time set aside for boarders to PREPare for school by completing their homework or revising what has been taught. Boarders will do prep in either the Reading Rooms or their own rooms (this is
decided based on their last recorded GPA). Boarding staff/tutors will patrol the rooms during prep time. Prep is conducted every night when the
next day is a school day. So for a regular week, there will be prep on Sunday to Thursday.

Must start thinking of what to pack soon.... šŸ˜„

Thanks VSK.. Will log on to read later tonight..

With DS1 at boarding next term, I can focus more attention on DS2, who is P6 this year.. DS2 says he will miss his Gor-Gor at home.. I don't think DS1 will miss his Di-Di, coz there are far too many exciting activities at boarding to occupy him.. šŸ˜‰

Will CCA still be ongoing during June holiday?

DS still has to go to school for CCA and project works during March holiday. I am wondering whether CCA practices will still be ongoing in June.

                        TIA
