Yes! Mine is in Girl Brigade this year. The first few sessions they sang praises and did some introduction. She commented tat all the seniors are friendly, kind and helpful to the juniors.

I also had my 3rd child last year, but no.... definitely not becos eldest is in PH or not. That 'pull' factor not strong enuff to encourage higher birthrate....not in my family. :lol: :lol:

Great! That was why mine was landed in pei hwa. According to my child, during assembly, they have time of worship, which they sing praises and pray. Once week, there is a 30 mins period of Christian Value lesson. During recess, there is a group of Glory mommies who will solicit prayer needs and announce for anyone who is interested to pray. Last year, her FT, who is also a Christian, lead whoever willing to pray before exam. And everywhere in the school compound, there are bible verses to remind and encourage the pupils.

Simply fantastic huh? Talk about holy-stic education! :lol: We both attended mission pri schools and it was the main criteria when we were choosing a primary school for dd. So much so that we decided to move house! I appreciate the fact that the children are being prayed over and for constantly. My dd has definitely benefited from this as she's enjoying school a lot. It is something you just can't get at a non-mission school, no matter how prestigious. The verse that is found at the back of the school \"With God all things are possible\" had in fact brought myself through the harrowing registration period!

That's really encouraging to hear. I hope to instill some compassion into my dd. Guess your dd might be her friendly, kind and helpful senior next year!

Hi markfch, when your son is in P3, you can encourage him to join the Boys Brigade CCA too. It serves to:

- To help him develop and grow in Christian character
- To train him to become loyal and responsible citizens
- To promote physical fitness and develop leadership potential

Thanks for the useful information. I am indeed blessed cos I qualified for phase 2b @ St Hilda's due to church affliation and also got selected for Pei Hwa PV. So these 2 sch are my top choices. Either one would have been excellent. In the end I settled for Pei Hwa as family nucleus is in the west.

I hope so. But hor, warn u first, mine is a super duper blur queen, but this eldest child is really kind and passionate, as compared to #2. :lol:

You are very welcome. Since you are residing in Toh Tuck, it makes a lot of sense to choose PH on top of St Hilda. Let us know once your son gets in, register this year right?

Yes, my DS's registration should be sometime mid of the year. I think I'll complete my 40hrs of PV by May. Was told by the school that they try their best to limit the number of PV so that hopefully none needs to ballot. However, due to unknowns like number of church affliations & community leaders applying, sometimes things don't go as planned. As in E3's case.

I used to go to the 7-mile hawker centre for lunch and also to observe the students and I must say they are a good lot. Really looking forward to the day DS gets accepted into the sch
