Hi harini! Long time no talk!

Hi Muffins,
I know - long time no news from u :hugs: I thought u were too busy with all the assignments and tests. So hows things after almost 2.5 mths at ACS?? Read u have made many friends - thats great !!! Hows ur CCA and UYOs coming along? Do u need to travel a long distance to school. Missed meeting u also at the PTM, so must catch up in person soon
Tell us moms how things are from a students perspective, fitting into a new school and its culture, especially when there are other ACSions from their feeder schools (are u from ACS Primary or Junior ??). My son's well settled too and having a good time. Last week was 2 tests and more coming so looks like the honeymoon period is over ... -

Good. I'm in Odyssey of the Mind, so I've gotten out of my CCAs and UYOs until April.Hows ur CCA and UYOs coming along?
harini:
Yup. I have to take the school bus to school, and public buses/taxis back.Do u need to travel a long distance to school?
harini:
Yeah. It would be great to see and talk in person to you.Missed meeting u also at the PTM, so must catch up in person soon.

harini:
Well, I was from ACS (P), so fitting into its culture was not a big deal for me. The real big thing was fitting into a new school. The only times I visited this place was for my prmiary OotM (Odyssey of the Mind) and, in kindergarten, for my kindergarten OotM. (OotM has been a major part of my life.)Tell us moms how things are from a students perspective, fitting into a new school and its culture, especially when there are other ACSians from their feeder schools (are u from ACS Primary or Junior ??).
harini:
Yup, honeymoon is definitely over!My son's well settled too and having a good time. Last week was 2 tests and more coming so looks like the honeymoon period is over ...

How do girls get into ACS (I) in year 5 and 6?
And how much are they required to get to go in?
Do they have a String Orchestra?
My daughter is grade 7 in violin now and she is going to take her grade 8 next year.
She is only sec 1 now.
She also plays piano and is grade 2 and she is going for the grade 3 exam in july.
Her cca in primary school was guitar and she went for the SYF competion and got gold.
She is currently taking MEP.
Do you think she can DSA?
and if she DSAs ,
is there still a maximum requirement of marks to get in or it is once accepted, then confirmed get in?
