Canossa Convent primary has small P1 intake.

Only 120 students : 4 classes of P1 students
(each class : 30 girls)

PSLE results :-
http://www.canossaconventpri.moe.edu.sg ... le-results

Some of the P6 girls did well, went onto CHIJ St Nicholas Secondary.

:goodpost:
Thanks, I did saw the result and was amazed by the number of percentage to express stream, which I am not sure how they measured the passing rate, could be becos smaller size of student in that school that bring up the percentage.

I'm still vex over which School to enrol my girl in. Of cos my Idea is still Maha Bodhi as I like the Buddhist upbringing and I believe it helps in Character building which I have to admit that dunno how to guide my girl.
But I'm under Phase 2C within 2KM so I guess chances really not high.

Hence it is most likely between Geylang Methodist or Canossa Convent.

Geylang methodist vs Canossa Convent
PM session AM session
Christian School Catholic School
Mixed school Girls school

Anyone can advise which school is more idea to put my girl in? I have 2 girls, another one will be P1 in 2017.

Any comment on Christian/ Catholic school?

Appreciate all comments and advises. 🤷

You have to know what is your priority?
Any chance of go to open house to the schools you intended to send?
I am not a result oriented mum, i believe more in Character building and good foundation. So I don't hope for my girl to score good results but reasonable enough to go into express stream will do. My girl lacks discipline, therefore environment and the classmate she is going to mix with will play an important part during the primary school days. That is what I worry most.

As far I have searched on, they do not have open house to the schools. But thanks, probably I should find time to pass by the schools to roughly see how is the environment and how is the kids behaving. 😄

I just tally my immunisation history record with the recommended link below and found that my child is missing on MMR(D2##), PCV (D2) and PCV(B1).

Is it a must to complete the 3 prior to registration or entry to P1?
https://www.nir.hpb.gov.sg/nir/sv/eserv ... Y_IMMUNSCH
I just notice that my child is also missing MMR(D2) but saw this link from hpb
(http://www.hpb.gov.sg/HOPPortal/health-article/630)

\"Babies who turn 12 months of age on or after 1st December 2011 should receive 2 doses of MMR vaccine as per above schedule. \" not sure what it means though :scratchhead:
Children born before 2009 are still with the OLD RECOMMENDATION. the one u saw in HPB is the revised one. HPB said not necessary with MMR2. HPB will let then have MMR2 during P1 check up, with parents consent.

So for me, don't have to inject prior to primary one.

Hi,

It is stated on MOE website that ‘Information on the mode of operations of primary schools in Academic Year 2015 will be updated by June 2014.’

I’ve also read somewhere before that by 2015, all primary schools will operate in a single session…

Can anyone help/confirm?
I’ve called up the school, but was told they are not sure?!
(I mean, should at least know if they have the resources, facilities, teachers to manage the new cohort?)

This will greatly affect my choice of schools…as I would only want a morning session for my boy.
Thank you!

Even by 2016, some schools also can't make it. So best to call and ask them.

Yes. My dd school is relocating to temp location for next 2 years. Temp school location and facilities not that ideal but looking forward, the new upgraded school facilities will boost a host of good facilities, including a $1 000 000 gym. :rahrah:
