Raffles Girls' Primary

Thanks very much, GiftedGem, for precious feedback on P6 teachers.
Much appreciated
At least, now we know that Mr K K Tan, is a good, encouraging Maths Tr.
Besides teaching GEP class -
does he also teach P5 / P6 Mainstream ?
Often, we parents do not know who are the better teachers teaching in our school, nor who are the not so good ones. (if any) -

Hi phtthp, i think he specialises in teaching GEP classes. Having said, he is one of the nicest trs whom many parents that I talked to, find no barrier in communicating to him freely and the girls find his teaching methods easy to comprehend. Thanks very much, GiftedGem, for precious feedback on P6 teachers.

Tuesday, May 20, 2014
Nicole Tay Wan Ni, 12, has emerged as the national winner for the Singapore Steinway Youth Piano Competition 2014 that was held at Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music Concert Hall, on May 17.
The competition was open to aspiring pianists aged 17 years and younger with three separate age categories vying for a spot in the Singapore Finals.
As many as 50 young Singaporean pianists auditioned in March and 17 pianists were chosen for the semi-finals.
At the finale, the Raffles Girls Primary School student performed alongside two others: Fong Jean Ying, 10 (Category 1) and Zantha Tan Xuanlin, 15 (Category 3); but her performance convinced the judges that she should have a chance to represent Singapore in the Steinway Regional Finals Asia Pacific on July 26.
According to General Manager of Steinway Gallery Singapore Celine Goh, Nicole stood out from the rest. She said, \"Nicole is a deserving champion and I'm confident that she will do Singapore proud at the Regional Finals. The judges also described her performance as very engaging with superior sensitivity.\"
At the upcoming Regional Finals, Nicole will compete with the best of young piano talent across eight other nations namely Taiwan, South Korea, Philippines, Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam, and Brunei for an opportunity to represent the Asia Pacific region at the International Steinway Festival 2014 in Hamburg, Germany alongside representatives from different continents.
Ms Goh added, \"The aim of the competition is to create an opportunity for young budding musicians to showcase their talent on a holistic platform. Given the professional and international setting of the competition, we are certain that Nicole's victory will open many doors for her to advance in her musical career.\"

- sch bus can adjust their travelling route, to pick up your dd, in Kallang.
Don't worry.
School bus fare charges from Kallang to Mount Sinai (Holland) :
is around $200 per month (2 ways : to and Fro)
Our RGPS Sch bus fleet go all over Sg, pick up kids, from remote places.
Will be those small mini van.
To Pasir Ris, Tampines, remote Seletar also have. -
Thx for the information.
