I remembered previously, my ex colleague whose dd was in RGPS GEP class told me that RGS will take in all RGPS GEPpers so long as they DSA to RGS (they have priority over other schools).
Not sure abt now, though. -

Not true. My dd was from RGPS GEP and there are students every year who don't get COs from RGS.blessmum4:

I would prefer NYGH as:
-it is a SAP school
-it is an IP school
-it has many immersion programs that students can take part in. i am a P6 student and NYGH came to my school for a talk. They say that every Nanyang girl will be able to go for at least 3 IMMERSION TRIPS during the 4 years in NYGH -

I would choose NYGH because I think its chinese is better compared to RGS

And chose the opposite but for the same reason. -
Actually both are good schools & each will have their own area of strength. It's really a matter of preference & where do you think the child will be happier in.
We chose NY. But sometimes I will wonder would RGS be better and at times I'm glad DD is in NY. The comparison will never end, so make the best informed decision we can and stay as happy as we can with it. Nothing is perfect in life.

:hi5: Agreed absolutely. Choose the environment you think best fit your kid so that your kid can be comfortable, happy, learn and grow well there. If you visit the schools, you should be able to feel the difference in the culture of each school. See how your kid feels about which one she prefers.Actually both are good schools & each will have their own area of strength. I know kids who have very strong preference for one or the other, and kids who have no special preference. Ultimately, it should be their choice and we parents can only advise and support them.
