        Honestly,

I really follow this philosophy in life - Hope for the best but expect the worst.

For me, I am just taking one step at a time. I also want to enjoy my time with my DS and not be so consumed at the expense of neglecting him. I love my life, my DH and my DS (not in any order of priority) :!: πŸ˜„

Everything happens for a reason too - thats another one that I subscribe to.

        :rahrah: :celebrate: :rahrah:
Woohoo!! This is my philosophy too. Also, I hate to regret or look back cos I couldn't do anything back then, all the more now. I'm a lot happier when I look forward - am super enjoying myself now in a snug family unit.

        :celebrate: :celebrate:

            Helo all πŸ˜‰ ,

I am an only child myself, and have 1 P1 boy

            Hello AuntieM. :welcome:

Could you share some of your feelings, while growing up, of being an only child?

Yeah, can we hear more, Auntie M?

I read quite a lot of books about growing up as an only child btw. Most say they were lonely at times, but from the an external study perspective (like comparing single with multiple sibling kids), single-kid adults are not worse off cos there are quite a lot of relational problems within families with multiple siblings.

              Dear All,

Just saw this topic which I happen to fall into this 'catagory'. I have a 15 year old son. I went through all those 'How come???...' questions. But just want to share with you all, it gets better as they (our child n our friends and relatives)grow older πŸ˜„

Lets think positively for our situations and enjoy our child. Just put it this way, I have friends who wanted kids but could not, so I just count my blessingssss....big and small. Enjoy them while we still have them with us...3 more years and my son will be off to NS 😒 ...but then...in order to think positively... I could travel the world without the need to think n supervise him on his homework, ting xie, SA/CA1/2/3/4 etc... πŸ˜„
              Hi, Si Si

Thanks for sharing! I really hope it gets better when my son grows older...I still count my blessings everyday and I too, sort of dread the day when he will be off to NS 😞 But I'm also looking forward to the day where he'll be independant enough for me not to 'nanny' him....but meanwhile, I will continue to enjoy doing so lar... πŸ˜„

I must have missed this post. Tks to both of you for this. Yeah, am gonna enjoy the \"meanwhile\" and not think too much about the other end of the process line, when they become fully independant and fly off, 😒 😒!

Just out of curiosity … and if you don’t mind sharing

Those mummies who suffered from multiple miscarriages and when finally managed to sustain their pregnancy …

                  1) did you take any TCM b4 or during the pregnancy to help sustain the baby?

                  OR

                  2) were any of you on asprin ie one quarter asprin everyday until full term, just so to thin the blood, something to do with blood flow to the placenta or something, can’t remember.

                  OR

                  3) any other form of natural/traditional therapy/western medication?

                    Hi all,

I am really close to my mum, we are like buddies.
I never need to lock any drawers or 'hide' things from her.
She's the one who helps me with my partying gear and share dating tips with me.
I am happy to be an only child. I get along with people ok but would rather be alone at times.

I remembered wearing makeup at around 15 year old.
She taught me well how to handle the boy-girl thing so I stayed out of trouble.. should be around that age that I do go kaikai with boys after school.... πŸ˜›
