cheerbear:
Hi cheerbear, cyranocrash, u will be helping in the open hse too?
any idea for the open hse workshop, how do we know we are the 1st 30 pairs?
also, i find the programme abit funny leh.. 11am is the workshop so halfway the showcase of programme, we will need to excuse to attend the workshop?
Time Programme
9am - Principal’s Talk
10am to 12pm - Showcase of School programmes
Interaction with Teachers
11am - 1pm - Love in a Bottle (Terrarium) workshop
There is no confirmation on the request for parent volunteers as yet.. so I won't know if there are areas that I can help with. Depends on both my wife's and my schedule also.
If you are unclear about the programme, do check with the school. Yah.. seems like there's an overlap in the programme schedule.
Maybe I'll see you at the open house! -

Thank you cyranocrash. Any idea what are the chances of going into the After School Care? Need to put her there as no one is able to pick her up from school and send her to another after school care centre. So die die she must go in :slapshead: :slapshead:

But last year when I was doing my research for student care centres around the area, I know for sure that Raffles Student Care offers pick-up service for students from Palm View. Their teacher will fetch the kids from school and together they will walk to the student care centre. No extra charge.. and they get a good exercise too! So this is an alternative that you can consider if you can't get into the in-house student care centre. You may want to check if this service is still available though.

What's e-learning?
It's basically assignments published on some portal and students will have to use a PC/laptop to login and do the assignments. It's quite fun.. and the element of using a PC get the kids all excited about homework for once.. HAHAHAHA -
We applied for PV eventually, since we live in 1-2km and just in case there are not enough places available after Phases 2A, B and C for <1km. Have been notified that we are successful. Also signed up for the open house where we will bring our boy to see the school. I was there at sengkang pri sch for the MOE roadshow earlier. I liked the science experiment booth a lot too. Didn’t recognise Mr Low cos he was in a wig and lab coat, haha! Hope to know other parents here who are going to join the PV scheme this year and who are registering their kids next year for P1 in 2016. cheers!
