2014 P1 Registration Exercise for 2015 In-Take
-
angela:
Understand from 2011 babies, must take mmr 2nd dose in 18 months but my gal had received the cert issued by polyclinic. She has yet to take her mmr 2nd dose.
dd1 I used the cert issued by the poly, for ds I used the cert issued by his pd. both accepted during their p1 registrationSAHM_TAN:
may I seek your advice?
For the Immunisation Proof, is it a must to submit the list churned from the National Immunisation Registry?
Or can I show the health booklet or even the certificate provided by the PD earlier?
The reason I am asking is because the List churned from the National IR is missing 2 jabs...
Thanks.
Wonder is it a must to take mmr 2nd dose before she goes for P1 registration?
From what I understand, the 2nd MMR before 6yos affect bbies born in 2010 and those born before 2010 will be taken care or \"catch up\" during the student health check in Primary 1. I have 3 kids and one is born in 2010.
If for whatever reason missed the immunisation shot during the health check in primary one, can still make appt at the student health centre, still free of charge. My current p1 kid missed his shot in school and I arranged him to have the shot at the student health centre. Of course can get the shot at your PD but will need to pay while at the student health centre, it's free.
But if you are still worried, which I can understand, you can check with MOE or get the booster shot, by your doc, before P1 registration.
cheers
Edit: But then things change so quickly from one year to the next, so best to follow whatever infor you received fr your p1 registration package. -

Don't know exact when it will be ready and when will I move in if it's ready. Confuss now, can I use my current address and let school know I will move anytime next year and get a declaration for my 2nd girl next year if necessary.
If your BTO flat will be ready by the end of your elder child's P2 education, you should use your own address rather than your parents'. Of course, at the end of the day, it's your decision which address to use. I am sure there are others in the same situation as you and I won't be surprised they use the addresses which benefit them.
Strictly speaking, based on MOE's rules, you should use your BTO address. -

I just called the school to check with them. They say should use the current address since the bto is not ready and don't know exactly when ready. They mentioned that during registration is based on the current residing address. And my younger girl will be in phase 1 next year so they dont see address she will auto have a place if elder girl is in this year. I'm not trying to say which benefits me better, it's that if I need to go Moe to do a declaration that my parents will be caregiver I will need to know earlier as need to find time to go or take leave. I don't wish my girl will be asked to transfer out later part.Carlin:

Perhaps the following will give you a better perspective:
http://ifaq.gov.sg/MOE/apps/fcd_faqmain ... #FAQ_30737
Of course schools will rely on addresses shown in NRICs of parents. That's why many parents rush to change/update their addresses prior to the start of registration. Schools generally don't ask you whether you have purchased a place at another location. The onus is on parents to tell the school. This is the part where I said \"strictly speaking\". MOE's rule on this is straight forward. However, there are loopholes in the implementation. -
Not sure if my analysis makes sense, for those schools typically less than 20 each in phase 2b and 2c, like st nich etc. With the latest moe ‘ruling’ of 20 seats reserved for ph2b and 20 seats for ph 2c, for those within 1km from school (only eligible for ph 2c), this is the only year of opportunity for them with higher chances at the expense of old gals and boys who did not join alumni in time and are outside 1km because these old gals/boys who did not join alumni in time and did not stay within 1km may get balloted out at phase 2a2 this year, and they cant qualify for phase 2b, and they may not get a chance to ballot in phase 2c (bcos more than 1km)…

Hi okie... yes, your analysis makes lots of sense because thats my analysis too

Yes I read the FAQ that why I called to ask. FAQ is only referring to if you want to use the new address to register for a school near new bto. My case is different as I want to use my current address to apply new school n not new address. I did tell the school I will be getting my new bring end this year or next year. I will try to call Moe to ask n call school to ask again tomorrow. I just want to be safe and don't want my girl to go through being asked to transfer halfway her education..Carlin:

Let us know what MOE says. If possible, get black & white confirmation. Different people interpret the same rules differently and the person answering your call nay not be the one processing your application. -
