2014 P1 Registration Exercise for 2015 In-Take
-
does anyone know where may I find the past year results of schools and the percentage of students scoring certain grades/points for PSLE, please?
-
I am joining the P1 registration exercise this yr. My situation is that my former sch is at Princess E and I will be moving house nxt yr to CCK and South View will be within 1km from my home. However, if I apply for South View, I will be at Phase 2C and the chances will be slim. What if I fail in Phase 2C? Or should I just apply for Princess E under Phase 2B?

Hello all!
Need some help on this. My son’s registration will be under p2c and p2c is during 30jul - 1 Aug.
Question:
1. after registering, can we travel out of Singapore?
2. If p2c need balloting, can we still travel out of singapore?
3. Announcement of results is on 6aug. What does "announcement of result" mean? -
Imami:
Announcement of results mean balloting occur on 6 Aug.Hello all!

Announcement of results refer to announcing the balloting results to all the parents, seated inside the balloting room.
After 1 Aug -
schools will inform parents who need to ballot -
the time and venue for balloting, on 6 Aug.
Some schools ballot in the morning, while other schools ballot in the afternoon.
Parents who have to ballot, will be informed. -
I have a question.
Let’s say remaining in PH2C, there are only 20 seats left for balloting and below are the students based on their proximity.
a) 3 students staying are within 1Km (for whatsoever reasons that they did not enrol in earlier Phase)
b) 7 students staying are within 1-2Km
c) 20 students staying are outside 2Km
Total 30 students balloting for 20 remaining seats and all students are Singapore citizen.
Question:
1) Under PH2C, will the 3 students staying within 1Km from the school gets direct entry without going through the balloting exercise?
2) Or will all 30 students go through ballot exercise regardless of residence proximity? If so, how will the ballot exercise gives more priority to those students staying within 1Km, or there is no proximity priority anymore when comes to PH2C?
Thanks! -

a) the 3 students staying within 1Km will be given direct entry.
b) 7 students staying within 1-2Km will also be given direct entry.
c) 20 students staying outside 2Km will have to go through balloting for the remaining 10 vacancies. 10 chosen ones are lucky and 10 disappointed ones have to move on to Phase 2CS. -

< 1 km : 3
Answer: all 3 SC get in
within 1 to 2 km : 7
Answer : all 7 SC, also get in
Number of seats Taken up = 3 + 7 = 10
Thus, remaining seats left = 20 - 10 = 10
outside 2 km : 20
school begin to scrutinize all 20 - any PR inside ?
if Yes, request all PR to come out first.
After ask PR to stand one side -
school re-count carefully: now, left how many SC, outside 2 km ?
Answer
outside 2 km -
if Total SC applicants exceed 10 : balloting occur for SC only, outside 2 km
But if Total SC applicants equal 10 nicely, all SC get in, escape ballot.
(ie. by making all the PRs come out, school had rescued SC from the need to ballot)
But if Total SC applicants below 10 : means all SC get in, but still have some leftover vacancies for PR.
Then make the PRs < 1 km ballot.
Summary
whenever balloting arise in any Phase from (2A to 2C Supplementary) -
SC given priority.
PR < 1 km need to give way to SC > 2 km
Those who have been asked to come out -
no chance to ballot, will enrol the child in some other schools, make it in time before 4.30 pm closing time, still under Phase 2C. -
Jia-Zhen:
Phase 2A : enrol into your former school, Princess Elizabeth school, first.I am joining the P1 registration exercise this yr.

on the last day of Phase 2C -
if South View (SV) no need ballot < 1 km, from your home : enrol into SV
(if you prefer SV to Princess E)
but if SV need to ballot, but CCK no need ballot -
decide if you want to remain at Princess E, or withdraw from 2A & enrol into CCK primary.
if CCK need to ballot -
stick back to Princess Elizabeth. -

for this, you need to call up or write in to ask that school you're interested in, discreetly.
(if you can't find PSLE results posted anywhere on the school's website)
