      Hi parents,

      Can you advise:

      a) when will RGPS go single session?
or will P1/2 remain in the afternoon?

      2015 P1 (2008 born) -
will be the last batch of girls in Rgps history, to study Afternoon session : 12.30 pm to 6.30 pm

12.30 pm to 1 pm is Assembly time, inside school hall.

      2016 P1 (2009 born) -
single session start : been confirmed.
      Time not fixed yet.

      b) which is the nearest after school care available for RGPS students?

Some pupils go to \"Out of the box\" school care, located opposite Hillcrest road.

      c) Is it confirmed RGPS will move back to Hillcrest in 2016?

      Yes, it has been confirmed.

We're going to have some brand new school facilities, added.

We'll have a grand, large, new Performing Arts Theatre.
In future, our Fantasia concerts / musical, dance Arts performances
      :
will be held inside this huge place, filled with grandeur ambience.

Just curious though why was there a drop in application.

I fall in Phase 2C and don't mind register if still got vacant by the time i'm due.
Do they consider the distance as well?

              http://www.moe.gov.sg/education/admissions/primary-one-registration/vacancies/#bukit-timah/

compared to last year (2013) Phase 1 sibling at 97 vs. this year only 69 enrolled, there is a difference of (97 - 69) = 28 lesser siblings enrolled
              -
28 extra seats \"leftover\" from Phase 1, is a lot.
enough to form one P1 class already (30 kids)

2A1 : normally below 40 alumni, per batch, for past few years.

However, since MOE announced \"40 compulsory seats\" for combined Phases (2B + 2C), more parents came forward to join 2A1.

              2A2 : can't tell how many
2A2 scattered all over Sg : turn up only with report cards on actual Registration day, itself.

2B : this year 18 PV + some from Moulmein - Kallang GRC (normally below 10 from GRC)

2C : will have a lot of seats, left
This year most likely SC ballot : I think > 2 km.
If not, will be between 1 to 2 km.

              2C SC < 1 km : safe

maybe parents start to realize that \"all schools are good schools\"...... or maybe just lower birthrates.....
