This page has some handy tools for you to sort by your area and the percentage registered.

Good if you are going into the next phases! Some schools already 95% full after 2A(1)!

      http://edumatters.sg/primary-1-registration-phase-2a1/
      quote from the above link
\"Table has been updated to show total vacancies and total vacancies left after phase 1 and phase 2A(1). Percentage shows the total registered so far. A higher percentage means there are less vacancies left for that school.\"

don't understand why it stated that the higher percentage have lesser vacancies...

      example;

Planning Area School Name Total Vacancy Vacancies Left % Registered
Ang Mo Kio Anderson Primary School 210 116 55.20%
Ang Mo Kio Ang Mo Kio Primary School 210 157 74.80%
Ang Mo Kio CHIJ St. Nicholas Girls' School 210 54 25.70%

Should be higher percentage more vacancies?

I think MOE should release the unpopular schools to clans and churches if there's any takers!

Wouldn't it be better that MOE set 1 objective - make ALL schools popular by upgrading unpopular schools in terms of teaching/resources etc.

Then parents wouldn't have the same headache every year come to July.

          school nowadays are strict.
if you don't make it in time before cut off time, school will ask you \"Why so late then come here to register with us? Come back next Phase : 2C, to register your dd\"
( if you miss the closing time dateline set)
As long as you are in the school and have notified whoever is in charge of the registrations that you are there and waiting, they will still register you.

That was my experience. I was in the school at 16:15, waiting to see the numbers come up, when no one else showed up at the school, I quickly called my wife to deregister from the backup school and registered at our school of choice. I called my wife at 16:29 - the other school's registrar was new to all this and it took her almost 20 minutes to get the registration cancelled off the system. TBH, I was panicking! But luckily, the school we wanted had an experienced lady and she calmed me down, saying, as long as you were here before the cutoff time, we have to register you!

The headings are confusing. Parents read with care. The '% registered' seems more like '% vacancies available'. There is no school 95% filled yet.

yes, that is why i can't seem to make sense... with the header and the statistics listed...

...why the reverse ...usually when ppl see more % means no chance... less % means more vacancies... :scratchhead:

But if at P2A1 all remaining slots taken, leave no more slot for P2A2, then what will happen to this phase? \"jump' to P2B next and forget about P2A2? I reckon MOE will do something about it to make sure some slots are reserved for P2A2 unless MOE scrapped P2A2 once and for all.

Parents who really want to get their children into their alma mater should start contributing so that they will qualify for P2A1. Nobody will then be able to say that they do not \"deserve\" places in the schools. If they don't even bother to be active in their alma mater, they shouldn't say they want to send their children to their alma mater because of culture, etc. reasons.

                      šŸ¦†

This is just my personal opinion. You don't have to agree with me.

P2A2 is not only for ex students (not necessarily parents, can be slibling who is too young to be an alumni member if he/she is below say 15 years old or there is no age limits to be an alumni member? ) but also for staff members.
