      Dear experienced KSP,

I am planning for my oversea trip n would like to know when will PSLE result to be release. In the instruction booklet to candidates, it stated \"The date of release of the 2014 PSLE Exam results is tentatively scheduled between 21 Nov 2014 and 24 Nov 2014.\"

      Could it be 24 Nov?
      Which is the likely date?

      Thank you in advance.

      Hi, 2Transformer,
We went for the PSLE talk in DD's school yesterday and Principal advised the best time to travel will be on the 1st and 2nd week of December.

      For your info 😄

Thank you very much, Champion. 😄

It is not easy to plan holidays considering DH's colleagues also taking the 1st week of December...all 'fighting' for the same week on 1st come 1st serve basis.... :xedfingers:

            I have been watching out for any signs of stress my DD have… seem like none from her… and more like I am the one who is more stress out… My DD school have given them mock prelim PSLE exams 1st week of July, no advance notice given by the school, the mocks ended for 4 subjects by 2nd week of July. I sounded so stupid last week, when I asked my DD how’s her science mock, she told me already over, why I am still asking? :{

Historically, it has always been friday so that parents can spend the weekends bringing their kids to open houses before deciding on their school choices.

But to be on the safe side, avoid booking on 24/11. You probably will be thinking about the PSLE results and is unable to enjoy.

We were having the same dilemma. We've decided to travel after 24th Nov. While we are :xedfingers: 🙏 that ds will get a confirmed offer via DSA which means he don't have to go through school selection and posting, but the worst case scenario that if he don't, we've some plans in mind. Eg. if he get 200-225 - we will consider affiliation school. 225-230 - maybe a school near our house. 230 & above - apply for target school but maybe with plans to appeal depending on how much he actually gets so the 1st and 2nd choice is important in this instance. So yes some mental preparations in mind. So when the result is out, it's clear on the next step. So worst case if he don't get CO, we will decide on school selection and then leave for our hols.

                Hi, MMM

Thank you for sharing your valuable thoughts.
It is indeed a good plan in stages. :rahrah:

My DH will try to appeal for the 1st - 2nd week of Dec :xedfingers:
(to be on the safe side)

I’m probably the most KS of all. We’re going in 1st week of Nov, pulling our kids out of school. Back in time for last week of school, graduation, psle results etc etc!

We are leaving even earlier - mid Oct during the PSLE marking week.

I have two friends who are leaving the day after PSLE ends…

I initially intend to leave on 4th Oct but my gal wanted a break after PSLE. hence, likely to leave on 18th Oct and back in 3 weeks’ time. Do we need to inform the teachers ?

Trina, I would have done the same if not for another younger child taking his SA2 after the PSLE marking days…

CNS, yes, I intend to inform the teachers nearing the dates on pulling both kids out of school.
