If you refer to the past history, most likely you have higher chances in Pei Hwa.
You will need to ballot of NYPS but balloting is usually for those out of 2km in Pei Hwa. -
Hi mummies
Seeking some advice cos I am really in a dilemma here. We managed to secure a spot at Holy Innocents at Phase 2A, but my husband and my real target is actually Maris Stella. We are outside of 2km for Maris, so likely to ballot. I am having a tough time deciding whether I should give up my spot at Holy Innocents and take the risk of balloting, and at what percentage is it not worth it?
Also, if I withdraw from Holy Innocents only to find out last minute that I don’t even get the chance to ballot at Maris cos balloting is restricted to 1-2km or <1km, then I would have to look for alternative schools at Phase 2B…comparing St Gabriel’s and St. Stephen’s (both of which we would qualify for Phase 2B) with Holy Innocents, should I just stick with Holy Innocents instead?
Sigh, decisions decisions…
Thanks in advance for any comments… -

Maris Stella may face intense balloting as there is a reduction of 30 places and your chances may be low for >2km as compared with previous years. So suppose that happens, will you still go for it?Hi mummies

Hi mummies, just need some advice as not very clear how to interpret the table of past history stats.
I’m eligible for 2B and Current 2B vacancy for maha bodhi is 48 and we are within 1-2km, what’s the chances of getting in based on past history? Thanks in advance! -
Melody55:
The take up rate (TUR) this year is lower than the last 2 years. If you look at the number of places available for MBS for Phase 2B this year (48) , you will find that it exceeded the demand last year (44). And based on past history, MBS balloting in Phase 2B has always been for applicants beyond 2km. Hence, I would say that you should relax and stop worrying too much nowHi mummies, just need some advice as not very clear how to interpret the table of past history stats.

Hello everyone,
Like many of you, we are in a dilemma to choose between APS or RVPS.
We are very impressed by the charisma of the P,VP and her team of teachers and the new facility of APS. At the open house, we spoke to many teachers and were equally impressed by their enthusiasm and passion for teaching. We saw one P1 girl running to hug her form teacher during our visit and the teacher looked very loving and caring. Surely a new school will face many challenges but the P and her team is very experienced and confident so we also will have confidence that APS may become the next Rulang in central.
RVPS is a school with older history but the facility looks quite run down and the mood of the school quite boring in our opinion. We heard at that open house they will be building a indoor sports complex at the field next year so expect the school to be quite dirty and dusty since the field is just outside and near to the existing lower Primary classrooms. During our visit, we noticed that the classrooms especially those at the back of the school near to the field seem poorly lit.
Do we choose RVPS because it has been around for a longer time?
Can anyone advise on the PSLE results of RVPS?
Thank you. -

It is clear from your description that your heart is with APS. Stick to what your heart tells you. A new school is like an empty book waiting to be filled by stories of the achievements of pioneering students.Hello everyone,
