Actually the grls trying for nanyang shd try rgs ! It looks like there is high chance there ..
      Under 2B -
Don't think girls from Nanyang can come to Rgps, because different GRC.
But Not sure about those high powered GRL from CCMC etc, if they can cross boundary from one GRC, to another ?

But under 2C : Yes, girls from Nanyang can cross over.
      Only boys cannot.

Does phase2B consider distance category if need to ballot? If yes, how does it go about?

Looking at pure statistics, the answer is 'yes' of course. Cos Hpps still have not reached full capacity sand nyps has already exceeded by 10 not even including those more than 2k. Unless Hpps suddenly appear another 10 applicants. Even then, tomorrow there may be more PVs registering so the odds for nyp may be even lesser. I know my friends who're PV haven't registered. But at the end of the day, it's which school you really like and want to take a risk for as well. Hope this helps. My personal fav is HPPS cos I think it's more all rounded and less academic-only focused. :xedfingers:[/quote]

Yeah personal preference is hpps! šŸ™‚

My Fren just told me she hasn't register for hpps.. She is within 1km.

If the stats is 18/20 by 3.30 pm shld I take e risk?
Tomorrow, hang around Nanyang around 3.45 pm

Confirm with Nanyang : out of 31 (this number may rise again tomorrow), how many are < 1 km ?
If you are inside < 1 km and no need to ballot, while others > 1 km need to ballot, then you are safe.
No need to hop over Henry park.

But by 3.45 pm, if Nanyang less than 1 km still got to ballot, & yr Husb stationed at Henry Park confirm with P1 officer over there that no need balloting for those > 2 km, then forget about Nanyang, just go and enrol into Henry park.

But if yr Husb confirm that Henry park > 2 km need to ballot & Nanyang < 1 km also need to ballot, then you got to decide yourself which school you want, and also which has a lower balloting ratio risk ?

Ask yr Husb to get a queue number, at Henry park.
Is impt to get a queue number.

Make sure you obtain clear answer from P1 officer in both schools, before you place final bet.

Between Nanyang & Henry Park -
If you register for your dd, Nanyang better, bec can enter affliated Nayang Girls High.
But if register for your son, doesn't matter, since both also not affliated to Secondary boys school.

It boils down to numbers and stats. Eg. 3 students over 2km balloting for 2seats better than 40 students at 1km balloting for 20 seats. But it's a risk albeit a calculated one cos parents who take the trouble will find out the score tomorrow.

yes they do. The first 1km will ballot first. Then if there are still seats left for those outside 1km, they will let 1-2 km ballot next and >2 km will be last.

No offence but with my brother, sister, me and my 2 nieces that study in hpps before. One of my niece just finish her PSLE last year. I personally find that hpps is a good & famous school, however, it might bring your kids to have stress mentally and physically.
