Marymount Convent School has 31 children registered this year under Phase 2B as compared to last year's 17 children registered under Phase 2B. That is 45% increase in the number of children registered for Phase 2B this year.


Will Marymount Convent School have any vacancies left over for Phase 2CS? I seriously doubt so, by studying the figure of statistic increase of Phase 2B this year.

If all vacancies were to be taken up at Phase 2C in Marymount Convent School this year, those parents who have decided to use Marymount Convent School as backup for Phase 2Cs have to sweat buckets and end up losing sleep over looking for alternative best school.

Total vacancies = 240

Phase 1 taken : 39

2A1 : 3
2A2 : 6

2B : 31

Total consumed, up to end of 2B = 39 + 3 + 6 + 31 = 79

remaining vacancies for 2C = 240 - 79 = 161

last year (2013) : vacancies left for 2C = 153

so, this year (2014) had 8 more vacancies, for 2C

Need your advice that I am residing within 1 km between temasek pri and bedok green pri and next week is my turn under phase 2C to enrol.
I prefer Temasek Pri than Bedok Green but looking at figure seems like have to undergo balloting.
Will you all take the risk to ballot at Temasek Pri? If not successful then switch to Bedok Green under Phase 2CS but it is advisable?

last year (Phase 2C) :-

Bedok Green : SC balloted between 1 to 2 km

are you staying 1 km, from Bedok Green ?
if Yes, you can go ahead to ballot at Temasek primary, because can still fall back on Bedok Green (backup school) under 2C Supp, less than 1 km. Else need to ballot.

but if you're > 2 km from Bedok Green, then no chance to even ballot under 2C Supp
