Thank you dear. I feel so bad because I also have a little daughter. If I can register her brother in ATS this year, I don’t need to go thru this stressful process once again… Anyway I will try to stay positive. Start to pray for Friday’s battle 🙂

I have read in the earlier posts that online registration is treated equally as physical registration. I hope that is true because I am now in 2 minds about registering online and queuing up phsically the next day.

Limahkiaw, I was talking to Edgrace, no need your comment. You should be ashamed of yourself. Hope your child doesn't turn out like you. Your son has SAP brain? Oh really? I doubt with your words.

Hello I don't understand the kiasu mentality I registered my son in a neighborhood school but he has SAP brain .... Even if your kid goes into \"good\" school but has a neighborhood brain it will be the same ... Hope you all understand ... Hahaha

You, Limahkiaw, is here to create trouble. Moderator should banned you here for posting insensitive remarks.

Ewww! That's just ... Unclassy. Please be sensitive. In the midst of all this stress we all don't need such unkind words (SAP brain or not :p)

Congrats to all those who secured a place for their kiddos in their choice schs earlier on.

And for those who got to go for balloting this Fri, all the best and pls remember that worse comes to worst, P1 is just the warm-up of a marathon race. It’s just a small step.

We parents can play a big role in educating our kids, in partnership with whichever schs they eventually end up with. 1-to-1 attention vs 1-to-40 attention (in a typical class) … of course we’ll make a big difference. Fret not!

How will a ballot be conducted?

Is it advisable to witness it?

My time was a big 'fishtank' bowl with the boys' name thrown in. I heard subsequent years used a numbered bl.. Macham like toto machine (not sure if all schools used that though).

Thk it's ok to go down but I would advise u not to bring your kid down. They will not be able to comprehend 'why didn't I get in' shd the unfortunate happen. If possible, I would also advise you not to tell the kid abt his 'potential' primary school until you get it. It really is quite heartbreaking (I feel) at the point in time (at the ballot) shd the kid's name not be selected.

better don’t bring child down, for balloting.

balloting in itself is already stressful.
bring a child down, wait got to explain to child why didn’t get in, add to further unnecessary stress.

you can always bring yr child down on actual P1 orientation day itself

I am not sure if I can to take the stress of not being picked. My boy wish to join his peers in the same sch. But we don't stay near to the sch... So into ballot phase...

[quote=\"ji_linda\"]Just checked from moe website aitong got 37 registered for 31 vacancies. When I gave up p2b for aitong and rushed back to catholic high at 3:45pm today, 7 staying outside 2 km registered. Means those 30 applicants staying within 2 km will get the seats for sure. Feel very regretful as I also stay within 2km. If I have registered I will get a seat also !!! Now need to ballot for Catholic high this Friday... Crying.....

Oh dear. Be strong... What's done can't be undone. I wouldn't be able to comprehend the regrets you are going through. I can only hope that you find courage to overcome what lies ahead.
