2014 P1 Registration Exercise for 2015 In-Take

So this is not confusing. The one that is confusing is Temasek Primary where it says "all children are admitted" and there is "no balloting", even though there were 27 applicants for 26 vacancies. Perhaps someone withdrew from the school just after the end of the Phase 2B exercise at 4:30pm, hence opening up another space for the Phase 2B parents.

my boy is in p2c. my house to kcpps is outside 2km but kcpps hv more vacancies as compare to aitong. my house to aitong is within 1km. pls advise shall i go to kcpps or aitong. which 1 chances will be higher ? will there be any chances that kcpps does nt nd to ballot for outside 2km. pls help. super stresssssss
Since you within 1km to Aitong, you have chance to get in but offcourse aitong always ballot within 1km. This year p2c aitong have 31 seats left, so there may be a lot of applicants. Last year there were only 38 applicants but the seats left were less than 10.
Kcpps last year ballot SC 1-2km, 2years ago all SC in & ballot for PR within 1km
So i think you better wait until last day p2c, then you can ask aitong how many SC within 1km registered & ask kcpps how many SC registered + if there any chance for SC outside 2km
After that you can compare your chance between those 2 school
If kcpps already ballot for SC 1-2km then only left aitong as option -
For those who are monitoring seats in 2C phase, will there be a board with the info for all to see or do we constantly walk up to the registrar to get an update on the number of people registered within 1km (or 2km, etc)?

Hi all,
This is the info I got from the sch.
For ACSP, no ballot and has only places for SC children residing withinin 2km of the school for Phase 2B. Although 35 applicants for 32 vacancies because there’s one set of quadruplets.
It’s mean that 1 particular vacancy has 4 boys tagged to it instead of 1 vacancy 1 boy. That explain why 32 vacancies and have 35 boys successfully registered in Phase 2B. 31+1(+3) = 35
Hope this clear the confusion -

I had thought the multiple-birth priority only kicks in when there is a balloting situation, and not automatically awarded. But I supposed in this case, the total number of families applying is 32, although there are 35 children involved. So even if there is a ballot, it is likely the parent with the quadruplets will opt to ballot with a single slip and not 4 slips. Hence no need to ballot since everyone is in, anyway. Lucky for the parents with the quadruplets. Unlucky for those in Phase 2C. Oh well.Hi all,

Arg....chief, why unlucky for those in p2c? :?
So the 35 kids got in despite vacancies is 32. There is no change to the no. Of vacancies in p2c right ?
Also it is so amazing that for the past few years, acsp has just the right no in p2b  -
12mum:
From what I understand, those 3 places taken up by the quadruplets will come from the remaining vacancies that the school has. So there should be 3 less vacancies for Phase 2C. The only time I know of schools increasing their allotted vacancies is at the end of Phase 2C when similar multiple-birth situations occur.Arg....chief, why unlucky for those in p2c? :?

Thanks for the explanation, chief.
Is the school allow to take from p2c just to accommodate an extra or two applicants?
I sincerely hope that's not gonna be the case.
