Wanted to ask, suppose u registered at school A day 1 phase 2c, but actually school B is your first preference. After monitoring school B thinking maybe there's chance, u withdraw from A and hop over to B in early afternoon of day 3. At the last hour of day 3, realising in shock that no chance in B, can still go back to A to register again? Will A accept the application?

To me, It is already a very stressful event, don't make it worse by playing the applying and withdrawing game.

Just keep cool and monitor situation. Choose your best bet on the final day and submit application.


But it is ultimately your choice.

From what I know, Yes you can go back to school A because you have not registered at all with any school (af ter you withdrew from school B).

for this type of question : best to call up school A to confirm, whether they accept you back, by 4.30 pm last day of p2C.

will be a stressful procedure, if you attempt to do so.
not recommended, bec you subject yourself to a lot of unnecessary stress, running around both schools

less stressful & less complicated -
if you wait patiently until around 4 pm last day p2C : after confirm figure in both schools, once and for all, decide which school you want.
paperwork wise : also neater.
because in your case, you have not applied for any school yet, from Phase 1 to 2C at all.

your case is different from other parents who had withdrawn from an earlier Phase (phase 1 or 2A), and then re-register into another school in 2C.

CHIJ Katong should be very safe. They usually go into Phase 2Csuppl and I hope this year it remains the same. Looking at the figures, and since we are <1km, I think I can stay relax.


For all the parents out there… Hopefully everyone gets into a school of your choice in P2C.

Will like to seek some advice:

We have schools A and B within 1km to our hse. Tmr we are gg for ballot under Phase 2B for Sch A. Assuming we dont get it and we decide to go for Sch B under Phase 2C due to the vacancies avail. If we put our name on the waitlist for Sch A, anyone know if Sch A will still put us on top of the waiting list due to us not being shortlisted under Phase 2B?

Yes, the school will reduce the number of vacancies available in P2C to accommodate the additional applicants in P2B in this case.
