2014 P1 Registration Exercise for 2015 In-Take

Yes, last year : SC > 2 km reeled from shock, who missed the chance for enrolling their dd into a phase 2C school.
They got rejected last minute, due to suddenly many turned up within 1 to 2 km.
Thank God you managed to run & escape in time fast, at least still able to clinche a Phase 2C school.
If end up in p2C Supp, is very stressful, because is so close to Phase 3, where foreigners pour in, once the flood gate is open.
Anyway, a lot of parents don’t like Rgps : because they say no affliation.
Many of my friends say better to go to those schools that got affiliation : like MGS, PLMGS, Fairfield, SCGS, CHIJ Toa Payoh, St. Nicholas.
But I have no connection to any of these affliated schools, so is very difficult.
I agree with you.
If a child is bright, she will shine, wherever she goes.
Example
Casuarina primary is a low profile humble, neighborhood school, in Pasir Ris.
This school is quite good.
There are some very bright kids inside, doing very well. -

also many dont like marymout because it has no affiliation. ..
It doesn't bother me about affiliation because I know where is my child's standard. I trust my child's capabilities to work hard and go to a sec school she likes in future. A child has the choice to decide where she wants to study.
Affiliation is for parents who worry their children cannot make up the marks to go to a good sec in future.
MCS also can produce students who go to other top secondary schools.
Like CHIJ Toa Payoh primary -
There are Some girls inside there take it for granted, \"Oh ! Well ! Our Secondary school is just next door only what. Just walk across will do lah ! \"
these girls lazy to study.
In the end after Psle, they did badly, cant go back IJ, end up in some other Sec schools.
However, there is also another group of hardworking girls inside here.
They studied hard, played hard, went to Top secondary schools.
Now, CHIJ Toa Payoh primary raised their affliated Sec school entrance bar. -
Does anyone know where to get the no. of applicants to a school in Phase 2C last year, showing <1km, 1-2km and >2km?

You've to login to KSP to view the stats. Refer to the 2013 table.

You’re welcome, simkhoo. Agree that the formulae to calculate no. of applicants is a bit complicated.

Does anyone has last year statistic for balloting at P2c at BPPS, I know it was 97 registered vying for 94 pl. Are these all within 1 km or including 1-2km applicants
-
Thanks Edwin:) last year seemed like 1-2km got to ballot for BPPS!
-
Hi, can I ask… when I register my kid in Phase 2C, will I be able to find out how many SC and how many PR have registered? Or the school will only disclose the total number and not the breakdown by citizenship till Phase 2C is closed?

Anyone got any comment on jwps vs frontier vs west grove, which is better?
