Ptthp - did you try out the classes by mdm yip? Are the children taught to plan before the writing? Do they need to memorize model compo?

The children are taught to plan before writing, no need to memorize model composition as the students are supposed to write based on their own ideas after the planning. However there is spelling weekly on phrases to be used in compos such as "blushed with embarrassment". Personally I find learn the phrase is better than memorize model composition by some other tuition centre .

Madam Yip also revises grammar and recommends story books to read. As it no frills fee, I personally find it value for money for a weekly session to write one essay for practice with guidance.
