My understanding is the school will start to call earlier and not the last day. It will not be fair to parents to be informed on the last day. Last yr, my girls’ SCC one of the teachers even told me tat some parents were even inform on the day of application if their house is beyond 1km. Anyway it is still best to know earlier if needs to switch. I dont think any parents like balloting.

Yap. Gd if sch will inform earlier so we can still decide if we want to make the switch. At least can still go our 2nd or 3rd choice. Otherwise, what I m afraid is if both my 2nd/3rd choice also full, then I really don’t know how? Other schs maybe further!

Parents do not want to take higher risk by not register their children in MTS & NCPS, therefore chose Horizon as their 1st preferred choice & that could be the reason for the oversubscribed.

Since Punggol is considered a new estate, construction works cannot be prevented.
Construction also can be seen at Edgefield & MTS but at least the works have begun so the most just bear for 1 more year by end 2015 rather than 2018 at Horizon.
If you are a risk taker, go for MTS.
I will not recommend Green & View. -
Hi eastshore, may I ask why would u not recommend Green or View? Is it bcoz’ new schs no firm feedback yet?

Any one whose child is in Primary 1 in HPS can confirm if they have CCA in P1? Thanks in advance.

HPS got CCA. But only P3 then the children need to take up a CCA. Not at P1 level.
