Is mee toh very popular in punggol? What are its attractions to get overcrowded registration? How about horizon, what are its attractions?

            Hi all,

I am also in a dilemma.

I registered my child for south view primary under phase 2a. I stay in Bukit batok central. If my child goes to south view, most likely my child will take school bus.

Princess Elizabeth primary is within 1km from my home, and there is a high chance we can get in during phase 2c, as SC within 1km.

So now I am really headache whether we should withdraw from south view and register my child for princess Elizabeth tomorrow.

Any reviews or feedbacks regarding these two schools, guys? Any suggestions or opinions are welcome!

            Thanks in advance!

I see this really as a good sign. If half the schools in Singapore are oversubscribed, it means that these are the schools which parents deem to be good schools. So all MOE has to do is to work on the other half to make them more attractive to parents so that all schools can be seen as \"good schools\". Better than just 25 schools always oversubscribed and the rest catching flies.

Princess Elizabeth already oversubscribed for 2C and will go balloting. How much risk would u want to take if u fail in ballot you cannot go back South View also…

Compared to many other parents, I think your problem is easy to solve. Monitor Princess Elizabeth's TUR tomorrow. If you are sure SC <1km will not require balloting, withdraw from SVPS and enroll in PEPS. If you are not confident of your chances in PEPS, stay put in SVPS. It's not so far away that logistics is a problem for you.

The way to do it is this. Make copies of both your NRICs. Give your hubby your original NRIC and park him in SVPS at 2pm. You will then station yourself at PEPS and monitor the situation. By 2:30pm, if you are confident there will be no balloting for SC <1km at PEPS, call your hubby to withdraw from SVPS and go to PEPS asap. In the meantime, you will get a queue number at PEPS and proceed with the registration using the copies of your NRIC, explaining that your hubby is coming with the originals very soon.

                    Hi Chief Kiasu,

Thank you very much for your reply.

The reason why I hesitate is because if I take PEPS, logistic wise, it is the most convenient for us. But I also heard South View is better academic wise. I also heard South view is a quite disciplined school and gives students a lot of home works and a lot of remedial lessons. My son is a very playful boy, so I am a bit worried, if he goes to South view, he will feel quite stressful.

Wish we could know more about these two schools so that we can make a better decision.

We are definitely not risk takers. Only heard St Anthony is oversubscribed by SC within 1km in phase 2c so far.

Chief, I think there is some confusing statements made.. 'SVPS' refers to South View Primary School, right?:?
