So far seems ok for P1. Seldom have homework during school days and school holidays.

My friends who have kids in other schools have tons of homework in P1 almost everyday.

      agree
my friends' children in other schools like Feng Shan primary : have homework, almost everyday.

another friend's kid at Yu Neng primary -
Their P1 Maths taught progress at a much faster pace, ahead of us.
Our girls now in Term 3 are taught grouping and re-grouping within 40.
We just follow MOE syllabus accordingly for each Term, like what most primary schools Teachers do.

      P1 here is relaxed.
some parents like it : they don't like their kids to have homework, everyday.

But academic rigour from (P3 to P6) : we not sure.
Our kids have not reached the stage yet.
Best to let parents from Upper primary comment.

But heard Higher Chinese is tough, the higher you go.

Surprised....that P1 are loaded with hw. I thot most schools will adopt holistic approach esp for P1 &2. During DD's time, there's hardly any hw and the academic momentum started to build up only in P3.

DD just had her DSA interview at NYGH yesterday.

One of the parents (her DD from reputable sch) shared that RGPS trs are more dedicated. Looking at DD’s 3 yrs journey with RGPS, it speaks volume of these trs’ dedication in driving the girls to greater heights.

Certainly, I hope this batch of P6s taking PSLE this yr will be the outstanding and glittering stars among the rest.

        Jiayou, P6 girls.

We registered for my DD yesterday afternoon.

Before we registered at RGPS, we went to NYPS to check the status. When we arrived there, the number for SC <1km was 25 already (with 23 vacancies).
During the period we stayed NYPS (<half hour), several parents walked in for registration. My wife mentioned that she felt very stressful in that kind of atmosphere (even it is not a balloting process) . Then I told her we should go to register at RGPS because I afraid that she would get a heart attack if we go through the actual balloting process at NYPS.

P1 registration is settled and we will start to prepare for and focus on my DD’s grow at RGPS for the next six years.
            jiayou, girls and parents!

The big group has 10 to 15 girls this time round.

The numbers for less than 1 km and outside 2 km are growing fast

Looks like SC > 2 km are prepared to ballot, fight for a seat
