Cannot live within 1km of all 3 schools. Just either ATS and St Nick’s or ATS and CHS. Possible coz I have surveyed the maps.
Anyway, agree it was not very nice of them to do this last minute but it is the MOE policy that distance is a key factor. Just pray for everyone affected.

Yes, Cherrygal, hope there’s some miracle of withdrawal so that all of them get through. Otherwise can’t imagine the poor unlucky one standing in the middle of 31 parents who will naturally cheer or even shout out happily when their number ball gets picked!

Hopefully the school can absorb the extra kid… am sure the parents are all praying tonight. Must check MOE website tomorrow on which schools are balloting. Sometimes, they absorb.

Hope their prayers are answered and the school absorbs the extra 1, rather than having to waste resources conducting the ballot.

Yes, even 1 extra kid must also ballot.
Schools very strict : cannot say just absorb this extra kid in, no Need to ballot, because extra by one only mah !
No, not allowed, to absorb an extra child.
Balloting still proceed as per normal.
Whoever child been balloted out, can join Waitlist for Kuo Chuan.
And proceed to 2C Supp to register, in the meantime -

32 SC < 1km registered from one of the posts here.. there are 31 vacancies. -
phthp, that’s 28 SC <1Km excluding the 4 last minute ones. So total 32 out of the 31 vacancies. There are 17 >1Km who lost their chance just like that, after weeks of waiting for phase 2C. Poor thing.

I understand your grief.
But it’s something many parents would do to enjoy better odds at balloting.
The rules of the games are clear for all, so we can’t say its unfair to the 17 applicants,although my sympathies are with them
