For primary not really. Grade 1 onwards not easy. Those with long legs and good expressions usually score better. Dd teacher always remind them to smile to show that they enjoy dancing. 😄

Yes, the higher the grades, the tougher the steps, the harder to get distinction. But I know of my good friend DD, still get 95 at Grade 6 - certainly not an easy feat!

Hi, my girls (aged 4 and 3) are learning ballet at The Ballet School at West Coast Plaza. Not exactly near tiong bahru but if you have a car, i guess it should be fine?

Hi, am new to ballet classes but recently my dd’s school issued a letter saying that for students who are going for the RAD exams are required to sign up for coaching sessions apart from their regular sessions.

That means apart from the once a week lesson, she will need to join additional one hour coaching class, and of course, additional fees will be incurred.

                  Appreciate any advice. Thank you.

That's normal. Usually to prepare kids for the exam, coaching session will begin in term 3. For those higher grades, it is twice a week lessons.

Almost all ballet schools practice that. More time to gear up the girls for their exams.
