it is expensive ..have your read? wan bao reported that a HDB unit about 2000sf in stratemore (in queenstown) is supposed to be valued at $500psf, meaning that the unit is about $1 million dollars!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! so that means the owner (assuming its the original owner who bot it from HDB) will make an awesome lots of money if he sell the house successfully!

Logically correct and practically verified by past statistics. This is because inflation and our salary go up too.
And just as important is timing. Like all things, property has cycles too. But if you observe, the long term trend (like shares) is on the rise i.e. current high point will be higher than the last high, and the current low point will be higher than the last low too.Eagle-Ladybird:
Cannot agree here. There's affordability. As I mentioned in the top post, family income has gone down for all Singaporeans in 2009. In another thread, we learn that only 10% of Singapore families have monthly incomeAs an example, current prices may still move onto say $1,300psf in the future, and then corrects to say $1,000psf - at this point it may well be a new low. Over time, it will creep up again to may be $1,800 before it corrects again.
above S$10k, with S$10k and around making a big part. These are main buyers of mid-range condo apartments. How much can they fork out for monthly installments? 4k, 5k, or 6k? The high bound will condition the price range of private properties. That's it. -

We have to buy a bigger place as in laws are going to stay with us. .
or you could buy a place nearby, say same or next block, for them. Close enough to support and yet not too close. :celebrate: -
