I bought the Kaarcher vacuum cleaner (simpler version). Have been getting the kids to vacuum the floor after they finished their work…you know eraser dust. They just have to press the ‘on’ button. Every now and then when I feel the floor is dusty or there is hair, just get them to vacuum.

For eraser dust, my MIL bought my DD1 a mini desktop vacuum cleaner. You can get it at places like Action City, I think. It runs on 2 AA batteries and she maintains it herself. I only need to replace the batteries for her.

You're welcome! You should bring your DD along so that she can choose her own. If she gets to choose, she'll be more likely to use it and keep it clean.

The mini vacuum cleaner is wonderful, esp after the kids have done their work. It clears all the eraser dust on the table, which would otherwise be swept on the floor.

You can also try other gift shops like Mini Toons. Maybe they will have it too.

Yes, the \"exam grade\" eraser still has dust, just that the dust is in bigger pieces so you can pick it up more easily.

I have 2 of that mini desktop vacuum cleaners…unfortunately they are effective only in beginning. Now that button to press on is not that good. More frustrating to use it. I tell the kids to pick up eraser dust and throw into dustbin.

Hi,

You can do without the maid since your kids are in a full day childcare. I have a maid too but sent her back because she did not do what we have instructed her to do while we are at work and my gal is in childcare. Instead, she kept calling back to indonesia, incurring a lot of my phone bill.

Initially, we felt very stressed because we have not maid suddenly but after a while you get used to it and will be able to cope as per normal.

am a working mum with 2 kids, 18mths and 3-1/2yrs. I am thinking of releasing my maid early due to her attitudes, though she had worked with me for 3yr. But I am worried about how to cope without her.

My 2kids are now in full-day care. But my hubby always work late so he is hardly at home to help.
