I was kinda shocked at this year's balloting results where there are only 27 places left for Phase 2A2.


I am very worried about the dragon year balloting for my son. We are very enthusiastic about CHS, except maybe for the uniform, specifically buttons for my hubby hahah.

My hubby is an old boy who attended both CHS (pri) & (sec).
We have joined the alumni as well but we are living in paya lebar. Though only 6 mrt stops away via circle line, we are not within 1km from the school.

Am I eligible to apply under Phase 2A1? Or only mgmt. committee members of the alumni can apply under Phase 2A1? I am considering moving to bishan but the psf are simply too crazy now.

Very high chance most likely to ballot, under Phase 2A1 alumni.

Because Catholic High is a Full school.
Children whose fathers never studied at all before in the primary school, can still come back, to enrol under 2A1.

Since you are > 2 km and are worried that balloting arise for SC > 2 km in 2A1, then your husband should be more active, inside 2A1.
If anything happen and P knows him for being an active 2A1, Principal may still factor this, into account, during appeal time.

It is up to your own schoolalumni team, to think and devise more activities, to help 2A1 SC members > 2 km, to be more active.

When is your boy due for P1 registration ?

If you are not in the school Alumni, I am afraid the chances of your boy getting into CHS is very slim, if you are staying more than 1km from the school..

Perhaps, you can consider moving to Bishan, if time permits..

My son is going to CHS Primary 1 next year. I would like to know whether there is streaming ( as in testing child's ability to read & write) during the orientation or during primary 1 itself? Some schools do testing during orientation.
Is the school starting at 7.15am or has it changed because of single session?

The are 7 sizes for CHSP PE shorts - 3XS, 2XS, XS, S, M, L, XL ..
