Have you RI parents received the results about the 1st round of SJPO? The 2nd round will be held on Aug 25th.

        Tia!

My son, GEP, has got WL fr RI. Can some kind soul help to adv what is the chance of converting WL to CO ? I understand the chance is base on priority in the WL. Is this priority base on SA1 result ? My son score is only 82%. So far, most of GEP rejects are below 80% & those who hv gotten CO have scored above 84%. With this info, can experienced mom help me to assess what is the chance for my son to get CO conversion.

Many many many thanks in advance... A very worried mum..

Now is the time to focus on PSLE.... whatever will be will be. Don't let it distract the PSLE preparation...encourage your DS to thrive on... rather than depending on converting to CO.... :grphug:

            Thank you, Valyap,
My son just got a CO fr VJ.
After much discussion, DS is now open to go to VJ , if RI WL does not convert to CO. This has certainly released the stress cos previously DS die die also want to go RI. Now at least we hv an open option. thank you !

VJ is as good as any top JCs despite the perception of many parents. Your DS will enjoy his experience…

Should not react this way! 1st of all, u need to manage kid & your own expectation , with an open mind. Don't pass sweeping remarks on GEPPERS having an easier way, they are all not guaranteed a CO. to start off , the qualifying criteria, there are geppers below <80%, etc etc..which need to go thru the process and did not get CO, or some don't even get WL..

let's us be gracious… may the best deserving get it. Besides, there is always the S1 route, just encourage your DS to focus on PSLE and do well to get T-score above >265, that sure can get into HCI, RI or etc :grphug: ... :xedfingers: :rah rah:

As good parents, we want to educate and impart the good & correct values to our DC , being resilient, gracious and open-minded thinking…etc

Yes, let's be good role models! We must teach our DCs to have a WINNER'S mentality, not a whiner's! In life, not everything goes the way we want it but we can pick ourselves up and make the best of it 🕺

                    😉

I do not think GEP is a easier route for any child. So GEPpers are welcome in each school.

The top MSers can enter any school by T-score, but the DSA COs are the admiration and honor for all excellent DSA boys including GEPpers and MSers.

RI gave MSers and their KSPs a shadowy experience in DSA. It waste belief, money, time, and energy.

                    😂

move on .. and move forward.. manage your own expectations, if you don't like Raffles family, there are always other schools may be more suitable for you & your DC… there is nothing to admire or honor about Geppers or MSer DSA…. if parents think like that this way it is very sad.. it seems to us that some would boast about DSA! that is too surprising! Then that is all for the wrong reason! It must be rationale and based on the best interest of the DC and the DC ability to cope. peace & harmony! :xedfingers: :celebrate:

Heard too many stories of DSAers in IP schools, in the end, the DC couldn't cope and very stressed, then the parents are stressed too. Be at peace and in harmony with each own expectations! :celebrate: 💋
