Prelim exams are usually tougher...happens in most schools.

Kids, please take care of yourselves starting from now. Control your sweets, chocolates, cold drinks and oily/deep fried food. It's only another month to go before PSLE...after all these intensive preparation, don't let it go to waste. All the best :rahrah:
After your primary school leaving exam, you can eat what you want.

DS just called to say his math prelim today is extremenly tough, most of his classmates were talking abt it and worried.

even the best math student in his class also commented is a tough paper

reassured him that if all his classmates commented is hard, then is normal
unless all said easy and he says hard.. 😞

ok prelims over.... I told her take a small break before you go full speed right up to psle...

dd told me teachers says no break... straight to full speed :nailbite:

You don't have to follow what the teachers say. Just don't tell them! It's good to take a short respite before starting revision again, but not let it become a long holiday.

indeed... but... same as optimum... the homework starts to pile!

Today is the day my Son gets his prelim results. It is a monumental day. If he does well, it will provide an assurance that he has finally "matured", and understands the significance of this life-determining exam. Many times I have wondered, how many other children out there are like him, who see little beyond their noses, whose petty concern is when their next TV-FB-burger fix is. Who adamantly refuse to contemplate a rough ride in life, far removed from their cushy existence, a life they only read about in the papers.

I worry for him. PSLE to me, is more a test of discipline, resolve and industry. It is only the later years, that intelligence and acumen is necessary in the mix for academic success. These 3 tenants are the true determinants of success in life.

I worry for him. The odds don’t look good.
I wonder how I am to "spin it" if he , again, does not perform to his ability in this penultimate exam.

                      … random thoughts …
