Ooh, I just spent the middle of the week chewing up a teacher :!: I'm not proud of it but it had to be done. I've learnt to not nibble my fingers and hope that behaviour patterns will disappear on their own, and that sometimes, it takes a parent to stand up for his/her child. Wished more educators think that way as well. I spent a good week in school and I learnt a lot about school. There are different kinds of teachers, and there are good and better ones. There are some who truly want to help and don't know how, and some that go all out to help.
Yes, majority still suck, but that one or two really makes this world such a better place for our kids. -

Usually ds loves a subject that he struggles because for him struggling means learning. But this teacher terrorizes students by giving corporal punishment, books although lightly, landed on kids head & telling students off why choose this language when they did not make an effort to learn.
These scenarios upset ds totally. He broke down while trying to re-call his homework. Met up the teacher with dh. As usual, I'm \"very nice\". Never attack the teacher directly. Enough hints dropped liao. I think eat is not the appropriate word. More like wrap him around my little finger ensuring that he understand what needs to be done to help ds & ensure other kids are not touch as well.
I wonder when the teacher is going for retirement. Totally old school. -

This P1 teacher, aiyo. Suffice to say, I was direct and effective, and now she knows I know and she knows I won't hesitate. So in the last couple of days, it's been a sea-change, hurrah!! I actually wrote her a thank you note on Friday because of her efforts :shock:. But like my son says, she'll probably revert when he leaves. -
Blobbi, PM you her name already. In my about 10 years of dealing with this generation of school teachers and principals from a parent’s point of view. Never met a more understanding and proactive teacher.

Heard from the news on radio this morning, a country (cannot hear clearly which country) is introducing and selling small size condoms for age 12 to 14. I hope this would not be introduced here.

You are right. abstinence is no longer exercise greatly in family values today.
Everyone is talking about ‘Just do it!’
Maybe apart from athletes or musicians less and less people exercise abstinence anymore… -
