Actually, St Anthony Cannosian primary is affliated to her Secondary school.

Secondary school is just side by side, next to the primary school

Yes, also heard something similar, about St Anthony Cannosian Secondary school.

As for St Anthony Cannosian primary school, my friend complained about her dd P5 Science Tr.

If I am in your shoes, I will stick back to CHIJ Toa Payoh

            Meadows,

Since you live in the east, why not go to CHIJ Katong? At least it’s from the IJ family.

I would stick to CHIJ TP if I were you. I know of pple who live in east coast going to school in bishan. If you can fetch her yourself, then no problem. If logistics is a big issue, then I would just move nearer to CHIJ TP.

Yup I think try to stick to IJ Toa Payoh if I were you. Do u have any other daughters? If u do, all the more u shld stick to IJ TPY. If not, then try Katong Convent, at least u can head back to IJ Secondary in future as they are all affiliated. I know of someone who got balloted out recently from IJ Toa Payoh, but got a place at Marymount convent, so all good.

                dear Meadows,

Not sure what is your race, or which Mother Tongue you intend your dd to learn ?

                For CHIJ Katong Convent -
they made certain changes to Mother Tongue (MT), recently.
from next year onwards, one of the MT : school does not offer it during regular school hours : Mon to Fri. Instead, School offer it only on Saturday at another venue elsewhere (not inside school premises) for 4 hours, in a stretch. If I not wrong, think is Hindi. Best to call up school, to confirm, which MT is being affected ?

As a result, some Indian parents decided not to enrol their dd, into CHIJ Katong Convent, this year. They enrolled their dd into another school, instead. They find that at IJ Katong Convent, it is very time consuming & tedious, to bring their dd every Saturday, for the next 6 years (from P1 to P6) to attend MT, elsewhere.

If your race is Chinese, may not be affected.
Still, it is best to contact the school, confirm if have the MT you want offered within regular school hours from Mon - Fri, before you consider CHIJ Katong Convent.

Better to clarify, CHIJ Katong Primary only affiliated to CHIJ Katong Secondary, not CHIJ Secondary (TP).

For the 4 years' GCE \"O\" level track only -

CHIJ Katong Convent primary is affliated only to CHIJ Katong Secondary, but not to any other CHIJ Secondary schools.

CHIJ Toa Payoh primary is affliated only to CHIJ Toa Payoh Secondary.

CHIJ St Nicholas primary is affliated only to CHIJ St Nicholas Secondary.

Therefore, it is a false statement, to say that CHIJ xxxx primary is affliated to any of the CHIJ Secondary schools.

Yes, my colleague’s daughter is in chij katong, it is affiliated to chij katong secondary but not chij tpy. If i choose chij katong then next problem is that i have to go through balloting cos we live more than 1km away. Sigh
