The teacher reminded us not to be greedy. She wanted us to only take five buns or ________________ per group.

            (1) few
            (2) less
            (3) fewer
            (4) lesser
            (3) fewer. Buns are countable, so 'lesser' would be incorrect. (1) and (2) would not be correct as you need a comparative term.

              Which is correct?
(1). If you expand the sentence, it would read \"Mary is as tall as I (am tall). The pronoun should be a subject pronoun.

              3.Mary is taller than I.
              4.Mary is taller than me.
              Which is correct?
              (3). Same reason as above.
              Thanks.

                Should be \"fulfil\", not \"fulfils\".

The thing is, the answer should be: \"fulfils\".

Why? Because \"provided that\" (though \"conditional\" in nature) doesn't quite trigger the SUBJUNCTIVE MOOD. Use the INDICATIVE MOOD, which takes the 's', as Piggylala has suggested.

I've seen this in legal docs, so it's ok.
