2014 PSLE Discussions and Strategy

wow, it’s time to paint the town RED…celebrate, you have worked hard…
now it’s time to play hard.
now that PSLE is over, a lot of P6 parents will be clearing stock, selling textbooks at second hand, to make space available for bookshelves, for Secondary 1 use.
under Garage Sale, many parents clearing stock now
I am more kiasu. I have already cleared all on the eve of science paper, waiting for garang guni man to collect. I just can’t stand the loads of paper and books lying around my house. If used assessment books are accepted by NTUC, I am more than willing to donate. -
I dumped the English and math titles aside right after the first 2 papers were over. Left with math and Chinese all over the room over the weekend…really had to 忍. Then after the last paper, I got son to take out all his used titles…with a 4 year gap between my kids, I figured the syllabus might have a change by the time daughter sits for her PSLE.
Gave 4 bags of p6 stuff to my neighbor who wanted them…her daughter was next to sit for PSLE. -

Dd got same answer as your dc, Dagong.
Mine put elastic potential energy to heat and kinetic energy ....dagong99:

My girl put kinetic energy and heat energy. Your girl got the heat energy correct, perhaps examiner might consider giving her right.
Other qns I checked with her, all corresponded to what you've written. Either do well together or do horribly together:p[/quote]So we are in the same boat ?
Anyway, all the best to our DC's last paper today. 加油 !

what happened? you got too excited clearing yesterday? -
Yes, was so happy throwing things last night and didn’t realized that the my p4 materials were on the kor kor’ study as well. Realized it when he was looking for his practice paper hw. This shows how messy & disorganized is their room.
Anyway I think it is still in the recycling bin. -

Waking up this morning, the feeling is totally different as compared to Day 1 of PSLE.
Relaxing and great morning. Now, looking forward to enjoy our family weekend outings…before DD embarks to her sec sch life in Jan 2015.
Have a well deserved good break for all P6 kiddos ! -
Finally, our turn to declare officially..... the last lap for PSLE 2014.
:dancing:
Soon, this thread will become a history n reference for future PSLERs, espy those taking PSLE 2015. They will probably able to feel our ups and downs as we embark on this journey
GG, have a happy trip.. For me, I will pick DS up , then my family will off to short trip to KL.
Before I go, here is the long waited reply from SEAB regarding the PSLE grading system...at least this reply has cleared our doubts officially...
Quoted :
We wish to inform that grading is not based on fixed cut-off marks. It takes into consideration various factors including paper difficulty and the quality of candidates’ work. Hence we are unable to provide further information on this.
