Heard that in HCI, students can be exempted from year end exam in those subjects they are good in.
If they are exempted, does the school have any special programs for them while the rest sit for exams? -

No there isn't any special program. The school only released the exemption list quite late as perhaps they wanted the boys to carry on with the lessons. My son is going too. He likes camps and good chance to know the sch better. Quite a few in his sch didn't bother going, prob decided on another sch. For us, one main draw f NUSH is No national exams and for HCI, is the holistic education n SAP environment. After PSLE, think of A level, really 怕怕。Do you think it could be less stress in NUSH (impression fm d preview) based on yr DS1 experience? Tia.
Hmm, I don't really say no stress, depending on what your DS is looking out for and what expectations you or he set upon himself. DS1 told me Y1 & Y2 are managable, esp Y1, which in his opinion, less stressful compared to P6

Thanks ![/quote]There is a pulled-out class for Maths in Year 1 and 2, I am not sure about science and other subjects. For year 3 onwards there are Talent Development Programme such and maths and Sciences, Humanities and Bi cultural programmes. These programmes should be more accelerated than the normal IP programme.

ds likes camps too, furthermore is after PSLE liao. Just too bad he was not invited.

No, not majority will get the exemptions. They must be consistent in their performance. ie scoring A1 for all the three terms.Heard that in HCI, students can be exempted from year end exam in those subjects they are good in.
