Neither borrowers nor lenders nor both be ....

I used to report to a guy who borrowed and never returned. Luckily he did not borrow money but items like laser pointers, stationaries, etc
:faint: -
Generally I prefer not to borrow but I am also pragmatic in certain situations, eg.performing costumes.
If I do borrow, I will take good care and return the item with a gift to the person.
If I do lend, I will see if the person is \"ngeow\" like me, i.e. the person will take good care.
So far no one has come to me to borrow big amounts because:
1. I don't look rich enough
2. I probably don't have
3. People around me are all richer
   -

Hi All,
What will you do, if your best friend wants to borrow $$ from you, and he/she is verysure you have such amount inside your bank a/c...

-
"… … … well, well, well, … be prepared to write-off the amount you lend to your friend…"
-
Yah… prepare to write off the amount.
If not, then find some valid excuses to get out of the situation without "affecting" the relationship. -
MMM:
so.. what are those valid excuses....Yah... prepare to write off the amount.

Dun think twice fussyMummy, think a hundred times if you need to…
the $ is unlikely to come back.
Make up a story that your DH dun allow or you just lost $ in stock market.
Took $ from your mum and need to pay her back… -
Excuses…family need to change car, send $ to China to build house, relative want to borrow for medical/school fees…
There are many other places one can secure a loan decently, without having to go to the loansharks. Even if you lend her the $, your friendship will be affected.
Juz me 2 cents
