Not correct. That combi is definitely allowed. There are BCMH classes, BCML classes and even students taking BCMG. The most popular combi is BCME.
I thot I heard some where said that H2 History not allowed to combine with Bio & Chem? Anyone to clarify ? -

I certainly need to come ashore more often to be current with what I heard -

Even if every student emails Mr Heng to do triple sci in Yr 5/6 - the answer will still be \"no\" and will be told it is some policy decisions....bla bla bla ...in other words, they have been told no point lobbying to do triple science
Oh.. So there are NO Triple-Science classes in RI (Yr-5/6) now ?
Is this the case in all JCs now, since Medicine course no longer requires Triple Sciences as entry criteria ? -
pirated:
Thank you, pirated.. I understand better now..RA after Year 4 is for one year at Year 5 only
In year 6 - they progress to H3 if they qualify
RA in year 3/4 is no guarantee to get into RA in Yr 5 for the same subject - still have to sit for test, interview, write personal statement
Why everything seems so complicated (to me) these days ?

It's probably complicated to people like us but super straightforward to our kids

It's MOE policy now (not sure when it started) that all A level students must take a 'contrasting' subject at A levels. Sciences and Maths are in the same category, so a triple science and Maths combination contains no contrasting subject. So no JC is allowed to offer that combination. A 'science' combination now would be double science and Maths with a humanities subject such as Econs, Geog, Hist, Lit etc.pirated:

none of the A level Junior Colleges now offer Triple Science.

Raffles Institution, Hwa Chong JC, National JC, Victoria JC, Temasek JC, Dunman High, River Valley High, etc : no more Triple Science.
They tag Chemistry along, with either Physics or Bio.
This combination (Bio & Physics) is out in many JCs : not popular
the only place that offer Triple Science now : is NUS High.
some one inside MOE ministry led & implemented this policy quietly, wef which year ?
(perhaps some MOE scholar)
going forward, into future -
can we change back to the past, where allowed to take Triple Science ?
unless someone working inside MOE willing to take up this challenge, persuade & convince the Education Minister.
Or bring up for debate openly -
phtthp:
May I check do the JCs have triple Science in Yr 1 to Yr 4 now ? NUSHS starts triple Science from Yr 1.
