      Hi Ningy

Thanks! U r very resourceful! 😄 Btw, r u talking about this year? Do they change the 1st or 2nd classes of all levels every year? Do we need to ask teachers or other parents to find out?

Sorry for asking so many questions  .

      Cheers!

        etsbaby:
It's to the art museum (old paliament house). There was a paper given by the teacher few weeks back and they deducted $12 from the Edusave account for this outing.

:!: Need to pay? Why I can't remember?
Oh no, my DD on MC. Hv refund or not? 😢

You need to authorise(sign on the form given) to allow e sch to deduct e payment fr this outing. If not, there wont be any deduction. You can check w/ the FT directly.

I understand that PR/foreigners need to pay cash fr it.

So far they change it every few years interval. No need to ask the teacher, everyone will know after 5 minutes they made the change. I always wonder why there is a need to change.

yes, it seems to change every few yrs. Last yr, p6/1 - best class; but this yr, p6/3 is the best class. My dd1 in p1 this yr and her ft encouraged the class to work hard and get into p3/7 - the best class. so it’s no secret. anyway, the students themselves seem to know; even which is the "last" class or 3rd best, and so on.

the only secret is the position of the child at the end of the yr; some teachers tell the whole class; some only announce the top 10. it’s not written in the report book even if the child is first in class. parents of prize recipients are invited to attend the prize giving ceremony and then u know ur children have done very well.

nowadays realli v competitive…last time prize ceremony is for all to attend, thgt it is a good motivation factor for students to strive better?

why only invite the "top students"?

Yes that was what I thought so, until last year when my ds was in P1. I was told, this happened to Taonan too. The only difference was the prize giving ceremony was on school day, so my friend's dd went down to take a peek at the buffet spread.

Wonder will I ever have a chance to find out whether did Kong Hwa order buffet after the ceremony. I think chances are slim for me  . 😄

Just came back from \"Meet Parents Day\" & my ds's CT just told me that they r going to change the top class next year since so many ppl knows about P3/7.

In fact, she is the one who told the class that only really good students wl go to P3/7. :? So when u mentioned that P3/7 is the top class, then I managed to link what she said about P3/7 last week after their CA1 test.
