What are the courses NUSH grads usually take in uni?

Can NUSH grads enrol in faculties other than Science or Engg?

There are many geniuses. Sadly, I'm not one of them.

It's not just about knowing more. A lot of it is about being careful. After all, quizzes, tests and exams is still a large fraction of the overall grade. Though, yes, I reckon he knows more about maths than a lot of the year 5s.

It is in mathematics, as stated.[/quote]This boy was from Hong kong from my DD Y1 batch of 2011. He accelerated Maths at Y5 level, Physics at Year 3 level. Believed he tops maths at Year 5. He stay till end of Y2 at NUSH and he got acceptance into Hong Kong University at the age of 15.

In the past there are 3/4 NUSH students who got \"accelerated \" into NUS before the 3rd or by the 4th year. Now it is kind of rare as the school indicated a minimum of 4 years before this is possible. Not too sure if they actually \"graduated\".

Dr Hang once said he was happily sad to 'lose' all these 'drop out ' who never graduate from NUSH b'cos there are rare specimens. Most uni in the world never fail to accept these 'drop out' who are ahead of their peers.

Should be diagnostic test approved by respective HOD and finally the principal.

Biology is the only science subject where no acceleration is allowed because of the practical element.

NUSH took in singaporeans, PR and many foreigners who shun 'O' and 'A' level.

It will be right to say many potential 'genius' would choose a school like NUSH who allow him/her to pass through a high school phase not limiting to 'O'/'A' level syllabus.

I think there was a Year 2 NUSH malay boy who took his 'A' level at UK level and got straight 'A' many years ago and subsequently left for oversea studies.

It is a lot harder to accelerate in other subjects as compared to maths. Maths syllabus is more or less linear, even in a module system, and as long as one can understand the content, one can go quite far ahead. It's a bit like chess, we have young chess prodigies.

Other subjects require more content knowledge. Acceleration requires students to master the content in addition to the concept. Compared to mathematics, it would be a bit more like sports. Even if one is good in it, it still requires certain amount of training physically.
