i don't know how a tutor can be defined as 'premium'.

I can only think of The Learning Lab - premium tuition centre.

If I remember correctly, there were some Premium tutors advertised some years back. They command high fees.

But I am not sure if they are able to produce Premium students (if they are not the GEPpers).

At the end of the day, it boils down to how willing the tutor is able to help your kid. Stick to a tutor that's well within your budget because costly doesn't mean better.

A good analogy will be both a Mercedes and a Toyota can bring you to your desired destination. What matter most is a tutor can deliver results and instil a sense of belief in his students.

A tutor who charges premium may not have a ‘premium’ kind of attitude. What I need is a dedicated and patient tutor. Before any tutor comes onboard, I will inform him/her that patience is very important as my child is slow.

in short, once you are able to find a committed tutor who is also patient, don’t change, be it group or individual…it’s really not easy to get a reliable tutor.

The answer is \"Will you choose a PE teacher to teach English and Math?\" I think you should choose one that is based on their specialization in the school, not based on what agency tells you. It is not difficult to check on your own. Do not trust what the agency tells you about the current school teacher. Do your own background check before you commit.

                      Definitely.

There's no guarantee of results, by any tutors. If anyone claims as such, he is to be exposed and ridiculed.

As a tutor, I can categorically say that the student plays the MAJOR role in studying. The tutor plays a \"side-role\" (aka supporting actor/actress).

That said, you wouldn't want a half-pass-six tutor who couldn't even solve the problem, right?

Aptitude and Attitude of the tutor is important when making your decision.

Tuition is just once a week…student has to do his/her part after lessons. Do not get fooled by tutor…NO such thing as guaranteed A* by attending more lessons.

Parents are paying money to see their kids improving. Some claim to have proven records, so be careful with tutors you engage.
