Any centres to recommend? Must be affordable. Another centre - Creative Horizon is closing down this year. But personally, I feel they are more enrichment, not very singapore exam-orientated.
No improvement at mind stretcher since K2 and you still want to count on it.. ???My advice is go look for other options. My gal with them for 1 yr before also no progress and in fact worse so quit.. I look at the way they teach and has no faith. I used to ask my gal after every lesson if she had learnt anything and she just shrugged off. She didn't learn the rules on grammar and techniques on answering compre there..Belle:
I'm sorry. I may have upset you.
My son is still not improving even tuition in Mindstretcher since K2, getting worse in his English compo, hope to find better centre. I can't teach as I scored \"C\" for my PSLE.
So difficult to find a cheap and good centre:(
I agreed I shouldn't stay with them but I can't find a good one with weekend time slots 9-11am near my place and affordable price. But there is one thing I need to be fair to Mindstretcher, my DS is having at 80-85 marks for Paper 2 for the past years, with good foundation of grammer and vocabulary at least. Mindstretcher is the one helping him all this while cos I don't really teach him. But just not composition and comprehension. -
though my daughter is not taking her psle next year, i am still worried how she will cope for p5. her comprehension and compo are still her weak areas.

A pat on the back for all mummies and daddies (not sure if there are daddies on this forum as well). Exams are over and we deserved a short break before the tough gets going again :)!

Not CL but ELsleepy:
Did badly for paper 2 :slapshead:
My ds too. Didnt do well for his CL paper 2 :hi5:
Not sure how that happen, result keep slipping. Lower primary EL result was still reasonably acceptable
Somehow foundation was not steady enough so now start falling apart
Not just weak in one or two areas but consistently bad in all sections -

Don't know oral and compo marks either, so not sure how she fare for EL overall. Heard from frens that their kids din't do well for EL paper 2 as well - paper pitch at too high a level? -

How many marks is your dd's paper 2? Just curious your definition of bad same as mine

My fren's dd still scoring above 80
Oral and compo result out too, though didn't see paper
Same as paper 2, equally 惨 -

There are also a few in her class scoring above 80. But heard from quite a few who are at 60s and 70s, and even 50s. The 50s and 60s will have to depend on other components to hit baseline.

My questions and expectations nowadays very low hor.....1st question: can hit baseline? Next question: what is average range?
You see, don't even dare look at high range.....

Haha! Same here
in the midst of adjusting. My dd1 always among top in her class so i kenna big shock with dd2. Below baseline this kind of thing never happen before with dd1
Nowadays my standard question to dd2 is can meet baseline? Very jialut
I didn’t even bother to ask class average, get freak out once more only
But i cant scold dd2, can only tell her åŠ æ²¹ -
