In the first place if employer is working and no time to train, why in the first place take Myanmar maid aiyohh.. some more nowadays fresh myanmar maid salary also $450.00

      Indo maid oso sama price

But the problems is Indo like to have Bangladeshi boy friends until got killed & died and body throw into the water tank above Woodlands HDB flat, the whole Singapore know , .if not then pregnant..pregnant .

Filipino , English too good, ask for passport on off day.. If not always quote friends have weekly sunday off, work part-time for expat and even singaporean families , then entertain two boy friends, until got killed & also died in Geylang hotel ?

      Indian, Sri lanka???

So how, only Myanmar left.. but if no time to train the blurr ones. 70%, 80 %, 90% when talking to her she open her mouth very big because don't know any English, she dont' died but we died faster when we go home and things are not done.. No choice but still Myanmar, but can only take ex-Singapore at least can move on..
this is called die die must have maids .... till death do us part ....*LOL*

consider infant care and Amah on Wheels .....as an option

if dare to trust in a total stranger who can't communicate and pay for it and must work yourself to train your patience, might as well trust in a local company that can communicate and can be held accountable, and no live in problems

            Hihi

chanced upon this thread while checking out how to send money back to Myanmar for maid.

After seeing so much discussion about maids, I am wondering if there is a channel to share / warn others about the maids who have been transferred out so that the next potential employer can think twice about getting them.

The maid was an Indon, Siti Masidah from Nation Maid Agency, and she went on a shopping spree after stealing from my family. She did her shopping spree on the morning I went to deliver my baby; bought skimpy shorts and tops which she hid them between bedsheets (rolled up). She is a married Muslim with a child but yet buy all these skimpy shorts. She also stole spaghetti-dresses from neighbours and claimed that people gave them to her for being honest. We wanted to give her another chance but when we asked her to come clean since we knew about her acts, she actually climbed out of our flat through the bedroom windows!

That was a wake-up call to us how daring this Siti can be so we transferred her back to agency. Last we heard, she was re-employed by another family from Nation in Hougang branch.

Given how scheming she was to us, we hope the family she is currently with now will not suffer the ordeal and trauma (when she climbed down from our flat, we were still worried she may fall and hurt herself). She didnt hurt herself but came back in 1 complete piece 2 hrs later to ask us to take her back, of course, we didn’t. If she could do something so daring, who knows what’s next?

Thus, I suggest all who’s looking for a transfer maid to think twice since agents usually are obligated to paint a nice picture of them so that they can be re-employed.

Getting a maid is really a gamble these days so if there can be better channels to share, maybe we can have more confidence in getting the right maid.

Heard so much about Nation. High Class Fee/Charges and problematic maids.

Why not send them maid home instead of allowing her to transfer?

Police report should have been made if there are evidence of theft and threat of suicide, that could have been used to blacklist the maid with MOM.

The maid still has loan balance and we just want her out of our lives as she did all these while I was 2 weeks in my confinement. Even though there was the runaway insurance, it cannot be counted as Siti Masidah came back to ask us to take her back, so this cannot be considered as runaway or missing. We did make a police report within an hour after she ran away. Even the policeman asked us to get her out of our home, just in case she turned crazy and bring our=t the chopper to harm us, and this accordingly to the police officer, is so common.

The Nation manager was kind enough to let us change our choice of another maid even though the contract stated can change only Indo to Indo. We have now since changed to a Burmese and so far, simpler demands as probably she is from a Kampung and a freshie. Everytime if there’s any issue, I can call the counsellor from Nation to get it explained more clearly on what can and what cannot; so far, this has been helpful.

If there is a channel to blacklist those troublesome maids, that will be good. Employers can search abit before they get them.

So for our case, the evil maid is Siti Masidah from Nation Maid Agency.
We can only warn each other through such channels if such trouble maids are still in SG.

Actually, I cannot understand why some employers would, on the one hand felt that their maids should be transferred to another employer; but on the other hand, and almost concurrently, ask forumers to blacklist this person. The deal is that if the maid is not transferred within 21 days, the employer still need to bear the consequence of losing the deposit as well as cost of repatriation.

Also, I feel that it is a social responsibility of us employers, and most of us here being parents when it comes to making a decision to either transfer a maid, or repatriate her. The former means she is worthy of a second chance, the latter means she is probably beyond help, and in worse case scenario, could even pose a danger to the new household!

Indeed, it could be a very expensive decision - which is why I do not agree with the current regulations! But then again, it would be so shitty if one day, should we end up as that unsuspecting employer, right?

I haven't had to deal with any maid agency for a long while. I'm surprised to read from your post that the employer would lose the deposit? Isn't the agent the one contractually responsible for finding a replacement employer? And therefore the agent shouldn't be penalising the employer for the agent's own failure?
The airfare is payable by the employer.

                        Hi all

I was a first time employer who had just given birth 2 weeks when Siti’s acts were uncovered and her stunts shown. Thus, couldn’t think of the best way to handle it.

My family was too stunned and shocked that she actually dare to climb out of the window and abseil down to ‘escape’ with her loot. And when she returned again to ask us to take her back, all in our mind was to prevent her from getting close to my baby and taking out the knife etc, as warned by the police officer.

This is SG and not some third world country and she’s a woman so we didnt expect all these episodes to happen. Also, she was treated like part of the family; ate salmon, drumsticks, Japanese brand ice-cream, slept in own bedroom with proper bed and mattress, and we even helped her shopped and brought her shopping to buy things back for her family and also arranged the courier for her big carton. Thus, was really a stab in our backs.

I was also very shocked when I received the letter from MOM to inform me that Siti Masidah has been successfully re-employed and new permit has been given.

It’s a shocking and rude way to learn how to handle maid for a first timer and we are still learning with the current one.

Before getting her, we read forums on guidelines on what to expect etc but nothing beats real time experience.

Hopefully Siti has learnt her lesson and is good to the current employer
