        2014 PSLE COP to 2015 Secondary 1

Looking at this year's top score range, I think if you were to stick to last year's secondary school cut-off points (from the current booklet MOE has issue to you) to make your choice, you should be not too far off. With 6 choices, you can pick 1st 2 schools a little above your T-score range (1-2 points above), next 2 around your T-score range and last 2 below your T-score range (2-3 points below). Should adequately cover your grounds with these.

        Hope this helps.

        Well-thought out ... :goodpost:[/quote]

I don’t know what is the color of this year’s booklet, but the title is usually has "Sec One Posting". If you look into the individual school pages, you will see the cut-off points listed that as "250-267" - take the lower one is the cut-off score of the last kid who enters that school last year. So you can use that to pick your choices.

34.8% only? Does this include Geppers?

Yes, NYPS only has 34.8% or 166 students scoring 250 and above. How many geppers are there in nyps? Anyone remember 2013 % of students scoring 250 and above for NYPS? Thanks!

Just my personal opinion, I think it is way too big a gap. Looking at the top score range this year, doubt it will have such a big gap vs last year's.

So far from past year's experience, there is seldom such a big drop. I supposed you can take your chance if it is just 1 out of the 6 choices, and make the rest of the choices as close to your T-score range as possible if that is what you prefer. My advice is to stick close to your T-score range to prevent disappointment of not getting into any of your choices at all.
