If accept the offer for 3rd language, can it be dropped later? Any schools conduct 3rd language onsite or it is only at the specific language centre?

You can do it only at the specific MOE language centers. So need some traveling time unless the school is near the language centers. Yes, you can drop the subject later but do bear in mind that the books cost quite a fair bit, so if you are unsure, perhaps you can see if there is anyone with old textbooks to pass down.

Hi. If 252 + 2 (HMT) , any chance to get into HCI? Last year COP was 256. If put as first choice, and need to appeal, how to go about that?

What about 252 for ACSI (IB)?

252+ 2 should be ok for CHS IP. Any other schools ?

IP schools cannot based on affilation right?

          Sorry, confused.

Maybe you should visit HCI for post-PSLE consultation - they are usually able to give you an indication whether 254 (incl HMT) can get in via S1 posting. If not, based on my experience last year, they will be able to advise you what to do if you want to appeal. They were even giving out appeal forms BEFORE posting results were released, so you can save a trip down after posting results, in case you need to appeal.

No affiliation bonus for IP schools, exception is NYPS girls to NYGH. 252 + 2 can try for VS IP or SJI IP (although cannot count HMT for these 2).

Yes, my DS obtained 257, confirm no EESIS offered. My older son was offered EESIS 2 years ago and it was reflected in the letter by MOE which came with the result slip.

            Wonder what's this year cut-off point. 258?
Thanks for your response. Yes, this year's EESIS is confirmed 258. Not to worry, if your DS is joining an independent school, you can try for ESIP when your DS is in end Sec2.

Just to share that DD's classmate is offered EESIS with 257 so cut off is not at 258.

                Hi everyone,

With 263 (excl HMT), should I risk applying to NUS High?
                Hi Zyberk,

263 is a very good score looking at this year result.

I am sure 263 could be the COP for NUSH given that the school has only 17 vacancies for PSLE result.

NUSH does not take part in posting but conduct their own internal admission for this 17 places. Apply at NUSH website.

You have to submit for supplemental dsa. NUSH does not take part in S1 posting

Thanks! And this wont have any bearing on S1 posting? I mean, I can still submit S1 posting choices for other schools, right?
Yes, you can apply at NUSH as well as S1 posting. The only school where you have the best of both world. If you have both NUSH offer and S1 first choice offer , still can decide.

I would also prefer to use the term 'inclusive of bonus point' .
Few years ago, I presumed a SAP sch bonus pt was excluded from the published COP and ignorantly added an average of 2 bonus pts to its COP, since majority who chose SAP sch would have done HMT.
Then my dd's t-score + bonus pt became 2 pts away from the SAP sch's. To play safe, we gave up the opportunity to apply to the SAP sch.

Ok. So, can you tell that published cop is inclusive of 1,or2, or3 bonus points ?

Cannot tell, but now I know I need not add an extra 1, 2 or 3 bonus pts into the published COP as it is already included.
Just wish to confirm again.
My niece just gotten t-score of 252 with distinction in HMT.
2014 COP for SNGHS is 255.
To choose SNGHS, my sil thought must further add an estimated bonus point into the 255 COP which could be 257/258 finally.
So actually she doesn't need to?
                    Please advise. TIA.
Anyone know what’s the top 10% t-score for last year? Thanks.

                      Every year is 250

250 is the past trend. For 2013, it was 249 and this year may likely to be 249 thereabout too. 250 could be top 8% or 9% now.
Does it means that the cop for nx year intake will be slightly lower by 1-2 points ?

My dd got 234 and keen to go yishun town at 236 and Chung Cheng Yishun at 236 as well. Do you think we should put YT as 1st choice and CCY as 2nd choice follow by Presbyterian High Sec at 233 as 3rd choice. Or rather YHS 1st, PH as 2nd and CCY as 3rd to secure a space at PHS ?

Kindly advise as we are not very sure about the system and hope my dd will not go to the 4th or 5th choice.
