Rich dad poor dad:

      🆒
My DD scored 244 + 3 for her PSLE . Thinking of putting her either in Nan Chiau or Chung Cheng but most of her friends are going to Cedar. Can some one advise if it is possible to appeal for her result for 'O' level track, is appeal the only way? I missed the open house for Chung Cheng but I heard of the their talent program for HCL . Anyone heard of it ..Sorry for asking so many questions , thanks in advance.

For Cedar.. non SAP school so the 3 points doesn't count...at 244 ...there a gap of 5 points vs the last year COP for o level track...appeal success rate is slim..

Thank you for the advise !! :thankyou:

What abt Nan chiau vs Chung Cheng ? Any advice . TIA
Nan chiau is a SAP school and last year COP is 242. So with 244+3. I'm sure you are guarantee to get in. It is a up and coMing school that COP is increasing year after years..not sure about Chung cheng...

DD got 247+2, is it a wise decision to put cedar girl IP as her first choice (last yr cop was 251)?

Hi, my dd has a classmate who appealed into Cedar IP with 247. When I was in the Cedar offc last yr, I got to kn a girl transferrg out of Cedar to Raffles with 256. I also kn a fren's dd who appealed into Raffles with 254. All happened last yr. If you hv a dream sch and points r not too far off, u shld put it in as one of yr options for appeal later. There is actually a lot of transfers going on aft posting.
Have an idea from last year's posts on ksp.

My DD scored 255 (including HMT -2). She plans to put Dunman as 1st choice .However being 1 mark away from last yr Dunman COP of 256 , she is selective and careful with her 2nd choice. Deciding between Cedar IP or St nicks IP. Most told her Cedar IP leads to VJC which is better compared to a new JC under st nicks IP. She likes St nicks campus better though. Any views ?

This is exactly quite a headache for us 2 years ago. Vjc is a long established JC with system already in place. As for the new JC, a lot of things need to put in place, less talk abt an SOP and synergies between teachers, etc. St Nicks is also a dream school to DD.

So it boils down to other consideration like distance travel if your DD still prefers St Nicks.

For last year, any successful case(s) of transfer after co has been accepted? Thank you.

Anderson sec has affiliation to Andrrson JC I think. That's the advantage.

Anderson sec is not affiliated to Anderson JC.

But both seems to be very far apart. One in amk and the other is bukit panjang. Did you go to the open house? Anderson while good academically don't seem to have a very vibrant environment. Can't comment on bukit panjang.

                    Hi.

My son scored 254 +2, last year COP for HCI is 256 and ACSI is 253. We are thinking which one we put as first choice. Can share your views about choices? how do you think ACS IB and ACS school culture? I heard lots of good words about it.

My boy got 255+3. Is it safe to put HCI as his 1st choice? Should his second choice be acsi or river valley high? Pls advise. Thank you.
