Which route do Cedar students walk from Potong Pasir MRT?

Seem there is not covered walkway to the school.
Pls check if the school still requires the future year 1 students to purchase laptop? If it does, I wld recommend a lighter model since walking to mrt stn is a taxing one everyday.

If you walk along Wan Tho to PP mrt, it is not covered. If you walk to the various lanes to Macpherson, it is also not covered.
The only covered path is along Cedar Ave, provided you dont cross the road.
I invested in a very small umbrella for my dd since the start of school. Unless your child is like my ds who thinks umbrellas are for aunties and are uncool lol and prefers to run in the rain la.

Thank for the info. How long to walk from Wan Tho to PP mrt? Might not want to drive her to school if the traffic at the area is heavy traffic.

Hi Isetan, I like yr name. Reminds me to take time to shop every now and then.
Does yr dd bring laptop to sch often? My dd rarely does that. Hers and her bro's are clunky ones inherited from my dh. I dunno what ds did but he overhaul the hand-me-down with spare parts from his frens and made it even faster than before.
A girl from my dd's ex-pri and in Cedar now doesn't own a laptop or a hp. She is on FAS so she only has a desktop at home.
For Cedar yr1 last year, the laptop is not req according to the teachers.
I think laptops are more useful in yr3+4. But my ds doesnt bring his laptop to sch, so I dunno how he survived all 4 yrs in Victoria 🙂
Wanted to buy a lighter one for him in JC but he says to wait and see.

I think 10 minutes. I gotta ask her when she gets home. Go bef 7am, traffic is less heavy. But many many many Cedarians walk in and out on their own rain or shine.

                Thanks for your complement.

Yes. DD carries hers abt 2-3 times a week. Even in year 1.

Not too sure it is meant for project stuff but indeed it is required.

White shoes for students and black for prefects.[/quote]

Technically yes lah, but my girl’s classmates go to school in shoes that are white blue yellow black, 50% white mostly.
After a while, their shoes are all dark grey. As long the girl doesnt come in neon stuff, colours totally different from the sch colours. It is ok.
You will kn when you step into Cedar lol.
You will glad to kn, VJ’s shoe guidelines is just that they must be covered shoes, no slipper or sandals. So VJCians go in a gamut of colours for their shoes, they dont even wear socks, some hv no shoelaces.

Walking from PP MRT to Cedar via Wan Tho Ave will take 10-15 minutes (no covered walkway). Many students choose to walk from Upp Aljunied Road from bus stop (which has number 100, 135, 155), there is a covered walkway for this route.

My dd used the laptop in Sec 1 and 2 only, for the rest of the time it is used for watching youtube & other social medias 😞

Hi, my dd has chosen Cedar Ip as her first choice.

Hope someone can share about IP in Cedar. Thanks in advance:)
Is Cedar IP considered better than SCGS IP? Just curious.

Cedar ip started 4 yrs ago if I am not wrong and scgs started 1 or 2 yrs ago. My dd prefer cedar. I like both schools. 😂
