Over brunch last weekend... we played our own game of spellcast.


The girls had a blast spelling tricky words. I even had hubs mumbling
his spelling words... perseverance... the psy-words... psychiatric...
psychologist... psychic... and also ala French words which DD2 said
weren't exactly English but fun to try out. The girls tried from the
words champagne... to lingerie... to homonyms. The match point
came down to spelling the word vertebrae... and it was DD2's
turn... and boy did she really want to win it. :laugh: She went...

DD2 : v...e...r...t...e...r...b...r...a...y

Me : Tet!! :please: Try again please.

DD2 : v...e...r...t...e...r...b...r...a...i

Me : Tet!! :please: Na-ah.. not that either..

DD2 : With an \"aye\" at the back?

Me : Sorry, nope..

Me : Give up?

Me : Oh well, i have to continue with my chores so i'm gonna give the
answer away, ok? It's v...e...r...t...e...b...r...a...e.

DD2 : Ooh... then you should have broken it down like this, so i will
surely get it..

Me : Like how?

DD2 : /ver/... /te/... \"BRA\"... eeeee

DD2 : Get it? Ver-te-BRAAA!!! Eeeeekh! (Holding up an imaginary bra)
